Looking for TS dinner recommendations for MK/monorail

Just saw it. I will keep checking on BOG, but it is showing no availability for the day that we will be a MK. I think we are hitting peak week - and MK will be Easter day for us (most spring break seems to be the week before or the week after Easter).

Looking for TS dinner recommendations for MK/monorail

I did see that it is a buffet - but with good reviews. I looked at the food photos too - YUM.

Looking for TS dinner recommendations for MK/monorail

Thank you! I changed to 1900 Park Fare at 7pm. I think that will give us enough time to eat and get back for the fireworks. It will be a long day for us so a break to sit and bit will be fine. The reviews are really good and I like to see the characters even if my two boys think I'm silly. :rotfl:

Looking for TS dinner recommendations for MK/monorail

Hi - 2 adults and 2 kids age 8 and 11. We have the regular dining plan. I'd like to use the TS for dinner the first night. (I guess we could do TS for lunch and QS for dinner). In either case, I either want to eat in the park or at one of the restaurants that can be reached by the monorail. (I...

Looking for TS dinner recommendations for MK/monorail

I booked Chef Mickey's but the reviews are so awful - I'd like to try to find something else. Not traveling until April but it seemed like every single thing was booked the moment the 6 month clock tipped over. I'd like to eat and have time to make it back for the fireworks. Getting information...

    Booking close to depature date?

I've taken the kids on one previous cruise (transatlantic to Spain) a couple years ago. It was great, and we booked less than 90 days out and got a crazy good rate on the cruise. I'd like to take the kids on another cruise, but not transatlantic this time (hard to swing enough time off)...

Non-Sweet - Snacks: what are the choices and where?

Thanks Everyone! I would so much rather have an eggroll or something savory than a bowl of ice cream (well, most of the time). I've told the kids not to expect sodas and junk between meals, as there will be plenty of opportunity for treats at mealtime. I get a headache thinking about eating...

Non-Sweet - Snacks: what are the choices and where?

I've been reading over the snack threads and it looks as if everything will be very sweet. Given that the TS dinners will come w/ dessert (and also sodas for the kiddos), I'd like to find something less suggary, but still tasty for snacks. We will be staying 5 nights on the regular dining...

    Favorite Gifts received as FE

We got a packable tote bag that was really nice. I saw them in the giftshop for $6 or so. They folded down into a small packet that you could tuck into a bag or purse and then unfold as needed. I'm sure you know what I mean. It was just such a handy thing to have while traveling, took up very...

Booking a cruise, question regarding kids age...

We did the ebta last year and our son was 3. Because he wasn't fully potty trained (and regressed during the trip) I thought he would have to go to the nursery. However, when we got on board they allowed him to be in the OC full-time (with a pull-up) and just asked that I come check on him to...

    June 8, 2011 – Mediterranean

Regarding airport transfer: We did not book a transfer last year after the ebta. When we got off the boat *everyone* was hered onto multiple buses and taken to the airport. We stated we didn't have a transfer and no one seemed to care. We knew a taxi would be cheaper, and that is what we had...

    Formal Night - Quick Question!

You will be completely fine in dress pants and a nice top. I took one crumpled up dress that was wrinkle proof on our 14 day ebta cruise last year. Frankly, I could do without formal night as well. And this cruise had THREE. By the last night we didn't even bother dressing up. Some folks are in...

    Bottled water - silly question?

I had the exact same question about our first cruise. When we needed water during an excurion we bought one bottle at a local store, and refilled it as needed. There is no reason to haul a case of water on the cruise, imho. There is also water in the room, at the drink station, and served at...

    Corking fee for wine

We took the ebta last year. Several times we took our own wine to dinner, in the bottle, but already uncorked. We were never charged a corkage fee except for the night at Palos. Otherwise the server handled the bottle (I think.. I don't think it was sitting on the table) and we took it back to...

    June 8, 2011 – Mediterranean

Hi Everyone, We haven't booked yet - but plan to. I am kind of waiting to see if Disney offers another 'kids sale free' like they did last year. Rates aren't bad now in either case. We did the east bound transatlantic last year and LOVED it. This year we plan to spend the month of June...

April 10 2010 Disney Magic EBTA "Bound for Barcelona" - Part 5

Just got home last night. The cruise was awesome. It was our first cruise and we will be taking another for sure. After the cruise we caught a flight from Barcelona to Seville, where we stayed for 3 nights. We caught the last night or so of the April Festival in Seville, which was AMAZING. I...

    Bound for Barcelona - April 10, 2010 EB TA - Part 4

Sooooo Excited!!!! It just kinda hit me this morning. I am mid-pack in three rooms right now. I think I have it pretty well figured out. I am not sure about the weather, which is making it harder for me to pack light. I hate being cold - we did one early spring trip to Europe many years ago...

    Bound for Barcelona - April 10, 2010 EB TA - Part 4

Checking in and having a hard time keeping up with the rapid pace of postings. Started packing today. I've had the suitcases and carry-on bags out for a week or so and have just been lobbing stuff in their general direction. Today I actually started to organize. I find it so hard to pack for...

    Bound for Barcelona - April 10, 2010 EB TA - Part 4

Where is the toy store? I have a Thomas obsessed 3 year old and this will be a hit with him. We were in Gibralter in August 09 and I stocked up on Thomas underpants ("don't pee on Thomas!") and a few Tomas shirts at one of the department stores. Agree with PP that shopping is WAY expensive. I...

4/10/2010 eb ta "bound for barcelona"

We got hit by pixie dust! Moved from across from the laundry room on deck 2 (which are supposed to be great quiet rooms, btw) all the way to cat 5 on deck 7. A huge suprise and completely unexpected as we have never cruised before, and booked two connected rooms (making it harder to...
