480 pts at $12/per to use by 11/30/14...

If it gets this far, I am interested in 2 standard 2bdrms at BLT for 7/29/14-8/2/14. I know we can't book for a couple more weeks, but keep us in mind if you still have points leftover. Should be 402 pts total. Also curious on your deposit and payment schedule. Thank you!

So, then, its pretty much ETWB first?

What would be their loss? That we didn't get to wait in a 75 minute line for a chance at an interaction with Belle with no autograph or picture? That we took that 75 minutes to go meet Ariel, Tiana, Peter Pan, and three princess at Town Square instead? That my kids understand that waiting for...

Anyone try Face-time from inside the parks with others who are home?

I tried it last week on Main Street and couldn't get a good connection. That was the only time I tried though.

So, then, its pretty much ETWB first?

Forgive me for saying this, but do your girls even know it exists? We were there last week, and my girls are 5 and 3.5. They had no idea that Belle did story time, and we never entertained the idea of waiting in line for it. My oldest said, "what's that line for?". I said, "oh story time with...

    Bay Lake Towers to Boardwalk

Or you could the monorail to the TTC and a bus to the Boardwalk. Or you could take a bus to DHS and then the boat to the Boardwalk. Or get a taxi.

3 days, 2 preschoolers, which parks?

We had 2 preschoolers and 4 days this past week. We did 2 MK days, 1 at Epcot, and 1 at AK. Our AK day took about 4-5 hrs although we would've stayed a bit longer, but someone (me) didn't pack clothes for 80+ degrees (weather channel said 70 all week!). We were hot at AK, so we went home for a...

    FLU level high around Disney??

Thank you! It started with me on our second to last night, so we did enjoy the first 3/4 of our trip. My oldest was sick flying home. We wanted to stay an extra night to let her recup, but with flight change fees and an extra night at a hotel, we're talking $800+. We had to fly with her...

Renting a double stroller....would you take your single?

We traveled with 3 kids, 3 backpacks, and 2 checked bags. I wore my son in our Ergo and held the girls' hands (they each wore a backpack of their own stuff). My husband wore the big backpack (diapers, snacks, toys, and ipad) and pulled the suitcases. I would seriously consider condensing the two...

    Nursing on a ride

My guy is a drive by nurser too (9 months old). He does 8-10 minute meals every 3 hrs. Yesterday I fed him on IASW and during the Main Street Electrical Parade, neither of which I was expecting. I actually like just sitting for that time to rest and relax while he nurses, so I don't feed on the...

Which to go to 1st at RD? Ariel grotto or Belle ?

Another vote for Belle. We did Ariel on Monday after the ride, and we waited maybe 10 minutes. Belle's line was nearly an hr at the same time.

Very last minute... what should we know?

I left today and considered staying another night. There is no availability tonight at any of the All Stars, Pop Century, Caribbean Beach, or Port Orleans. It will be busy there. We did marathon weekend in 2009 and 2011, and it's not horrible. The traffic around MK one morning was horrid because...

    FLU level high around Disney??

We got home today. My husband, my oldest, and I all enjoyed a 12 hr NASTY stomach bug while we were there. I had it first and thought it was food poisoning until my husband started feeling ill 14 hrs later. Then our oldest (poor thing!) started feeling ill about 14 hrs after him. Luckily our...

    Exersaucer...would you recommend it?

I never bought an exersaucer for any of my 3. We had a jumperoo that they all loved. My DS is 8 months now, and he is over the jumperoo completely. He is far too active crawling and pulling up to sit in a jumperoo where he can't explore anything. I honestly found all the baby stuff (play mat...

How have you gotten your baby used to being in a carrier for Disney?

At 2 months, his legs should still be inside. At 3.5 months, my DS's head was right on my chest. Now at 6.5 months, his head is pretty much out of the back panel. This all depends on your torso - if you have a long torso, baby will be lower than on someone with a short torso.

stroller for a six year old

Is your 6 yr old a typical 6 yr old? If so, then probably not. I would start talking family walks to build up endurance. If the kid needs a rest from walking at the parks, sit down and take a break. FWIW, I am taking my kids in January, and they'll be 5, 3.5, and 9 months. We're renting a...

Average amount of presents you get your child for christmas

I have 3 kiddos (DD1 will be 5 on 12/22, DD2 is 3.5, and DS will be 8 months). They're each getting 10 gifts - 2 from Santa and 8 from us. Plus they'll get Christmas pajamas on Christmas Eve and stockings (toothbrushes, candy, small trinkets, hair ties, fun socks, goldfish, Disney gcs since...

    Children On The Loose...

My sister and I went off alone at 15 and 16. We went to TL while my parents did something else. And we didn't even have cell phones (imagine the horror)! My kids are still young, but assuming they are typical teenagers, I'd let them go off alone around 13 and 14, maybe taking their 10 yr old...

    Disney Y.E.S. Program

There is a reason for age limits on the classes. Whatever the reason may be, Disney expects its guests to follow the age limits. Could you pull it off? Maybe, but it might take some lying or deceipt on your part.

    Disney Y.E.S. Program

This isn't exactly a huge cost savings for us anymore. 5 day base tickets for our family is 1035 through Mouse Savers/Under Cover Tourist. 5 day base tickets through YES are 988. Not worth the loss of rope drop at MK for a class. I think I'll skip the YES class which is sad because I was excited...

Yay or Nay is Universal worth $400 for a day?

"Worth it" is in the eye of the beholder. To me, it's not. We don't do thrill rides, we don't do Harry Potter, and my kids are all under 5. I don't know that we'll ever go to Universal simply because we don't feel it offers a lot for our family.
