    Planning a trip 1/5/15-1/9/15

I know it's pretty much busy at DL all the time now, but do you think that week will still be REALLY busy? I understand that the local school district has three weeks off for winter vacation, so they're still out of school. What do you think? I want to do a vacation for our big family Christmas...

    Del Sol, Portofino?

I've never stayed at the Portofino, but I have stayed at Del Sol, so if I had to guess, I would imagine that the Portofino is nicer. Del Sol was more like "tolerable."

Disneyland 3 whole days without the kids! Grand Californian too!

Sounds like an amazing trip! You will have to report back! I dream of someday going to DL without kids, lol!

Official February 2014 Dapper Day planning thread

We are talking about going for DD. I have a question, though - when I searched for Dapper Day room rates, a site that I've never booked through popped up - resweb... Is that the correct site to book to get the DD rates?

Disneyland trip next week: Bunch of questions (including odd one)

I can ride roller coasters all day without getting motion sick - Screamin' doesn't even phase me. However, two minutes into Star Tours and I am ready to upchuck. It's the only ride in the park that makes me motion sick (aside from the teacups, of course!). Re: healthier options, Earl of...

What's the name of that discount hotel site...

Nevermind, I think it was LMT. Sometimes I think I'm way too young to be losing my mind...!

What's the name of that discount hotel site...

    Was it Last Minute Travel...?

What's the name of that discount hotel site...

Several months ago, there was a coupon code for a free membership to a discount travel/hotel site that a lot of people were using to book their DL area hotel. I got in on the deal, but I can't for the life of me remember the name of the website! Can anyone help me out? I think the deal was that...

    How crazy busy in January?

We went this year Jan 6-10 (if I remember correctly) thinking that everyone would be back in school by then. It was still pretty busy. Not unbearable, but certainly not "dead" by any means.

    BWPPI, Hojos or Del Sol

We stayed at the Del Sol in Jan. It's "okay," but nothing great. Between Del Sol and BWPPI, I would hands down go with BWPPI, no brainer. I chose Del Sol because it was significantly cheaper and still close, but if the price were the same, BWPPI would be the way to go, for sure.

Booked our camping site for August.

We stayed at the Anaheim Resort RV Park spring break 2012. As far as the place goes, it was fine. The kids liked the pool, but it was just your standard pool. I just hated having to be reliant on ART to get to the park, so we vowed to always stay within walking distance after that.

How is the Del Sol Inn?

When we were there in Jan, it looked like everyone HAD to use valet, because they were double parking a ton of cars to get everyone to fit. Maybe that's because it was a busier time or something...?

Which week is your 2013 SPRING BREAK?

We are out for two weeks this year - the last week of March and the first week of April.

    Let's discuss Disneyland candy.

ha! I was going to say don't waste your sugar allowance on the caramel dipped apples! They look amazing and are fun to watch being made, but they don't taste nearly as good, imo.

How is the Del Sol Inn?

We stayed there I'm January. It was fine, nothing great. The breakfast was meager, and it was quite loud inside the room. The location is good, though, and the rooms are fairly cheap. We didn't drive a car, but yeah, the parking situation was ridiculous.

Will my Disneyland snacks be confiscated at the CA border?

We live near the Oregon/Cali border. Every car going into Cali on I-5 gets stopped. They only take certain produce. If I have fresh fruit, I (of course) let them know, but I've never had to give it up, it's always been stuff that's ok.

The wheels came off - literally - was Tow Mater called in?

Wow! I am surprised to see that they got dining vouchers, too. That certainly makes up for the inconvenience!

    My Paranoia: Getting Sick

Haha! I am exactly the same way! Before our last trip, I just tried to make sure that the kids had plenty of rest and vitamins. I did also take Emergen-C packs with us, and each morning, we all mixed a pack into our juice. I also think washing hands is a huge one, because all day long in the...

    Dtd inexpensive AND good?

Another vote for Earl of Sandwich! The salads are the same price as the sandwiches, $6.99, and quite tasty.

    ~Need help planning a 7 day trip with a Claustrophobic.~

Nemo is horrible, imo. I wouldn't even call myself claustrophobic, but that ride makes me feel crazily claustrophobic.
