    Perimenopause is making me INSANE!

I am right there with you. Having mine for the second time this month (oh joy) I wish I would start skipping them. The only thing I don't have so far is the hot flashes, thankful for that at least.

    hey old people

Soap Opera wise I was raised on Guiding Light and As The World Turns. I remember not wanting to go to kindergarten because I realized I was going to miss watching soaps with my mom:rotfl: It made me sad when they were cancelled because of the connection I felt to my mom, grandma and aunt. My...

Childhood toys: Which toy did you want but never got?

Yep, that was the garage. It is funny how as adults we end up collecting what we wanted as kids.

Childhood toys: Which toy did you want but never got?

I had Chrissy and Baby Alive. It was messy!! My cousin got the Chrissy baby doll and I did kind of covet that!

Childhood toys: Which toy did you want but never got?

I loved Little People. I had the house and I was always taking my brothers garage! I wanted a Shirley Temple doll. It was the 70's and I don't even remember them being popular but I wanted one. I do have several of them now.

How did Kirstey Alley lose 100 lbs??

I think the reason people focus on it is because she has. If I were her I would tell how much I lost but not what size I am.

The Man With the Red Bandana (9/11 related)

What is everyone doing on 9/11/11?

I will be going to church than at 1 there is going to be a ceremony at a local firehouse. We might go to an 8:00 candlelight vigil. In between there are some things I DVR'd. I was far away from where it happened but feel the least I can do is pause and remember. If it brings comfort to the...

    Transformers

I also thought it was the best of the 3. To me it actually had more story and less blowing up and fighting. Plus it seemed to be more Josh Duhamel, which makes it worth the money.

    If you mom has died

No, I don't find comfort there. I have only been a few times. I feel closer just thinking about her than looking at her name on a head stone. I do feel bad sometimes for at least not going to do some upkeep, but I just can't usually get myself to go.

HBO + Tonight = Lady Gaga!

I am watching now. I don't get having the butt hanging out, but she is entertaining.

    If you mom has died

My mom died in 1981 when I was 12. I do remember that we went that night to buy knitting needles for a class I was taking. I kissed her goodnight; I think she was watching Hill Street Blues. In the middle of the night my little brother woke me up saying something was wrong. She had a brain...

I'm SICK of real-life princesses on TV

I am loving the coverage. I think I have DVR'd about 50 hours of specials and wedding coverage. It is such a nice change of pace from the horrible things that usually get round the clock coverage. I would much rather see coverage of William and Catherine than Charlie Sheen and Lindsay Lohan.

Official Tinker Bell Half Marathon 2012 thread

LOL, I was wondering about the costumes too. I was amazed at the Disneyland 1/2 what people were running in. I think I may try to find something to wear on my head, but I can barely do it in my regular running clothes. Much less a costume.

New Place for Walkers, Training for 2011 and Beyond

I just ordered the Chi Walking book; glad to hear that you have had success with it. I signed up for the Tinkerbell half and I am hoping that Chi Walking will help me get my pace up. The fastest I can walk a 5k right now is about 15:30.

    Fear of dentist (Update)

You sound alot like me. I was yelled at by a dentist when I was little after I was already upset because they wouldn't let my mom come back with me. I didn't realize how much of an effect it had on me. I also have some TMJ issues and my jaw starts hurting and gets so stiff that I have a hard...

That is definitely what I do to. I have only been doing 5k's since 2008, but I always slack off around Thanksgiving. Looking forward to challenging myself.
