If I book a room discount, does anyone know if I can add the dining plan to this, or will I lose my room discount because it's technically a "package"?

Last time I used my Free Dining Pin (2009) there was Free Dining being offered to the general public as well. I had reserved at Pop Century, Disney upgraded my free quick service dining to the regular dining for FREE because of the pin I had received. Does anyone know if they still do this? Or...

Colleen, do you know if we subscribe to Mlbtv premium do they still blackout the Tigers? That is about the ONLY thing we care to watch. So giving up cable may not be an option, we are Big baseball fans in this house :)
