We were unlucky enough to be on the wrong side of the boat and have a family that let there kids on the better side stand on the seats and block our view. They had an unobstructed view without standing on the seats.

At the pirate tutorial, jack will call kids on stage to interact with him. There is a photopass person taking pictures. Arrive before the show and stand in front for the best chance. He will pick four kids for the show and then call several more to come on stage at the end of the show how.
