Whichever car you get make sure the turn signals work, it seems most cars I see on the road were sold with non working ones.

I took this to mean that if she did not volunteer people would accuse her of just taking money from the government. She can't work so she gets disability I am assuming (honestly don't know, and none of my business) but by volunteering she is contributing to society is what I assume she means.
