I use Emerald Isle through national. You book a mid size car and you can pick from any available car on the isle. So far we haven't had a problem finding a big enough car. if you sign up for national's email list, they will send you discount codes.
I was happily surprised by the cost. Next time I'm going to use uber to get back to the airport. I think it will result in less walking through the airport with our bags.
I also did a one way rental from the airport. I used national and my car was less than $20 including tax. We had a Nissan Maxima and the trunk was big enough to hold 3 bags and 2 backpacks. we turned the keys in with the valet at the dolphin.
I used the reservation number that showed in my Starwood app. I don't remember if the reservation linked immediately. It may have taken a few hours to show up. Every now and then at the parks the app would say I didn't have any reservations or fast passes booked, but if I kept trying, they would...
I didn't set up any fast passes pre-trip last year and decided what to do each day spur of the moment. We set up our fast passes after we decided on our park for the day. I don't like having a schedule when I'm on vacation. We had a great time.
I need to have my Disney cards by 12/31. How do you think I should do this? If I do online and then purchase Disney cards online tomorrow, do you think they will be received by 12/31? Not sure what to do...
Thanks Orange County Commuter. I ended up making two reservations. One for emerald aisle/exec and one for emerald/reserve an hour later. The reserve price is a lot higher--hopefully I won't need it. Do you think having two reservations so close together will be okay?
