EPCOT's Japan Pavilion - Pick A Pearl review - Highly recommended!

We always love stopping by this to watch for a while - the cast members make it so entertaining and fun! I can't help but laugh while watching their extreme expressions. :thumbsup2

First time at Epcot! What are must do's?

My favorites: Spaceship Earth (my favorite attraction in the park) Test Track Soarin' Living with the Land World Showcase - take the time to go through each country. Watch the videos (China, France, Canada) and rides (Mexico, Norway). It's not only a great learning experience, but can also...

    Recent experiences with Thrifty?

I rented a standard size car from Thrifty at MCO for the first week of June. I have no complaints with the experience. Easy check-out when we landed and check-in when we were ready to return it. The car was clean and I always like being able to choose which car I want (as long as it's in the...

    Favorite and Positive Memories?

My family would travel to WDW almost every year since I was little - and I've continued to do so now that I'm older. One of my favorite memories happened in 2010. After dinner at Citricos, my sister and two cousins headed to Magic Kingdom for EMH. We were back by POTC when it started to downpour...

Random black light in window at UK in Epcot?

When I saw it in June I just automatically assumed it was one of those lights that attracts bugs - since the window was also open. I figured it would take them away from the guests below having snacks while watching the band. :confused3

How much does it cost to drink around the world?

I'm not a beer drinker, so usually go for things like a margarita (Mexico), Prosecco (Italy), Grey Goose Slushie (France) and then either wine or something similar in the other countries. I'd say the drinks average between $7-10 per country for me. It really depends on what you're drinking.

Anyone else think Disney is getting Greedy?

If you don't already consider yourself "privileged" by being able to spend $12k on a family vacation, I feel very sorry for you.

    Flaming Tree BBQ

I agree. Flame Tree BBQ is my must-do counter service while at WDW and I always get the pulled pork sandwich. It comes with no sauce and I add some BBQ sauce. I love the seating areas. They're typically not very crowded and I always find a spot by the water overlooking Everest in the distance.

    Parks in what order?

We typically land in Orlando sometime after noon, so we always head to Magic Kingdom for our first park. It's a tradition to walk down MS USA at the start of our trip. Our second day is usually HS in the morning and Epcot at night. AK on the 3rd day for morning and Epcot at night. After that, we...

    California Grill Flexibility

They are very accommodating. I really like the goat cheese polenta that they serve with some dishes. I ordered the filet and wanted the polenta with it (I forget what side was offered with it) - no problems at all.

    Fulton's dissappointment.

I disagree with this. The fact that someone may find their meal/dining experience at a Disney restaurant (in this case Fulton's) exceptional does not mean that they don't go out much or eat at fine dining establishments outside of Disney.

    Restaurant Marrakesh

We ate at Restaurant Marrakesh earlier this month and thoroughly enjoyed it. Our reservation was at 8:55PM, so by that time the belly dancer had stopped performing (and the restaurant happened to be empty!). We had a goat cheese appetizer which was delicious and for dinner I had chicken kabobs...

    Fulton's dissappointment.

Alaskan King Crab legs are still on the dinner menu at Fulton's (at least as of 6/5/14). They're also included as part of the dining plan.

Stormy-but-fun visit, FP+ & Magic Bands worked great, easy to get 4+ FPs

sounds like you had a great trip! Glad to hear. We were there for the first week of June and had similar experiences, but seems like it might be a little more crowded now than it was during our stay.

    Fulton's dissappointment.

We ate at Fulton's earlier this month (we visit at least once per trip) and thought that everything was A+! Our server was excellent, the table (outside overlooking the water) was great and the food was excellent as well. We shared a seafood tower as appetizer and had the baked stuffed lobster...

POR - What's the best area?

We just got back from a stay at POR earlier this month. We've stayed here quite a bit and love the resort. We have always requested the Magnolia Bend section of the resort (mansion themed buildings) because we prefer that over Alligator Bayou. We stayed in the Acadian building this month and...
