My dear Hubby lost his hat a few years ago on one of the Harry Potter rides at Universal - totally blew off...but it literally landed in the lap of the guy who was sitting behind us, who held on to it for the remainder of the ride, and kindly handed it back to Hubby while we were disembarking...
Did anybody else notice this? Reservations are now open for Olga’s Cantina in Galaxy’s Edge at Hollywood Studios!!!
I have reservations for October - woot woot!
I rode EE several times at the beginning of the event, and trust me - I usually HATE roller coasters, but I absolutely love this ride...it’s very smooth.
I then made my way over to FOP, where I was able to ride it 4 times that night...the “longest” part of the ride was exiting, and then...
I attended the AK DAH on Monday, July 22nd...and I had a fantastic evening!
Using my AP, I was in the park by 5:00 pm - and it was very easy to swing over across from the “Bug” ride to pick up my wristband.
I rode the Safari using the SB line around 7:00 pm - with little wait - and had a...
I posted my review of the VAH from 7/25 - and it was a negative review. Let me state that I consider myself a Disney expert; I know all of the tricks, shortcuts, strategies, etc, to get the most out of my Disney day. With that said, I didn’t do ANY of these things that you mention - and yet...
I attended last night’s party, and I totally concur with the previous posters....
Background: I’m an AP, and have done the After Hours since it’s inception - usually 3-4 times a year.
Last night’s event was clearly the worst that I have attended. Daughter and I managed to get in a grand total...
I can report that when I attended the AK DAH in early March, I was leaving the park at 11:25 pm (and the event was 8:30 - 11:30 pm that evening)...the Tree of Life Awakening was still going on, as a lot of the guests had gathered in front of it to watch it before exiting. Hope that info helps. :)
I lost MY lanyard on SM when these events first started! It went flying off when we did a major “swoop”!! I had to fight my way back down Main Street to Guest Services to get a new one ...I lost about 30 minutes of party time - gah!!
I don’t have photo confirmation, but I can add and say that I saw a Friendship Boat parked at the dock when I left the park right at midnight. In fact, I was so tempted to go hop on it, as I was dreading the walk to my bus stop!!! (Last trip, Hubby and I stayed at Beach Club - that boat was nice!!)
I use the website wdwent.com, which is short for WDW Entertainment), which has show times and other important stuff listed....I don’t know that it has everything that you’re looking for, but it’s a great resource.
Here’s my report from Saturday, March 9th:
I had spent the morning at Epcot, enjoying some of the Flower & Garden show. I left Epcot around 12:30 pm - headed back to my room to get off my feet for awhile & rest up for the evening’s DAH at Hollywood Studios. I then took a bus from Caribbean...
Yes, I was surprised! I had done EMM earlier this week, and the Princesses had a wait time of 5 minutes, which was awesome. Again, things have certainly changed for this event - you can feel the crush of people a bit more than previously.
I was at Hollywood Studios on Monday, March 4th...
Mike & Sully had consistently a 45-minute wait for most of the day. I’ve heard reports that the line gets better after 4;00 pm or so, but I had other plans and didn’t make it back to check.
For Edna, gah - she has a “manual” sign out front...
I attended the 3/7 event last night, and I concur with the reports above. I have attended this event 2x in the past (back in the days of the lanyard), and it was totally different last night.
I used my AP to enter the park around noon, and used my 3 FP’s, as well as having a good dinner around...
It’s called “A Pirate’s Adventure” - it’s a FREE scavenger hunt that takes place in Adventureland. There’s a very small, non-descript building on the left side of the path across from Pecos Bill’s - as if you’re walking to Splash Mountain. Pop into the building, scan your Magic Band, and you’ll...
Totally agree with this. If you’re planning on heading to Safari immediately at Rope Drop, the standby line should be minimal, as 96% of the crowd will be running to FOP and another 3% will be running to Expedition Everest. Use that FP for something else....
If you’re heading straight to JC at park opening, you probably don’t need a FP for it. Are you considering doing Splash Mountain at all? I would use my 3rd FP for a 1 pm ride on Splash - or perhaps use it on Haunted Mansion, which is close to those lands....
I agree...as I said, I’ve done this several times in the past, and this new format just felt more crowded. You have to be even more judicious with your time, as it’s more spread out - more walking - but the same amount of limited time. I watched people go on “It’s A Small World”, and I cringed -...
The usual suspects - Cinderella, Rapunzel, Tiana, and Elena. :)
Rapunzel and Tiana are in one room, while Cinderella and Elena are in another. Each room has it’s own line - so, two lines....
