What to do with Diaper Bags???

We didn't take a diaper bag (for 17mo). Instead, we took the bare essentials (diapers, wipes, 1 extra outfit, pacifier, little pony) in a fannypack, which is allowed on rides. It worked perfectly for us, esp since dd doesn't like a stroller, anyway :)

    toddler packing list

We didn't take sippy cups, we took straws. Our 17mo used straws, so we had bendy straws to put in a bottle of water or milk. It reduced washing (though didn't eliminate it), and allowed us to give her anything we wanted her to drink.

We also take clothespins to hang our swimsuits up to dry. We used fannypacks for carrying toddler extras through the parks' as they are allowed on rides.

    Keeping toddlers close

It really depends on you and your child. I start training for certain situations early (our training for our 1st WDW trip with then 10yo, 8yo & 17mo started 5 months before the trip). It includes physical (walking and any other unusual activity), expectations, and behavior.

    toddler packing list

When we went, our youngest was 17 months. We took: medications outfits (enough for half the time + 2 outfits, then did laundry) diapers wipes pjs baby carrier (we used a wrap) powdered drinks & sm. straws (for a bottle of water) sunscreen toiletries favorite doll (for in the room) sm...

Why wouldn't you want to go back to Disney?

I can honestly tell you that if we had gone at a non-value time, we would probably *never* go back! We absolutely *despise and loathe* crowds. As it is, we went not long after Thanksgiving and *do* plan to return sometime in the future. Now, our issue is that we have 5 + baby due in Sept, so the...

Would you do a studio or deluxe room?

I don't think the room is actually larger, but it has 1 queen-sized bed and a set of twin bunks (which naturally take less floor space than another queen). That said, we didn't use a pack'n'play for the baby, nor did we use a stroller . . . so we didn't have those things taking up floor space in...

Would you do a studio or deluxe room?

We had a blast in a bunk bed room at Wilderness Lodge. We had kids ages 9, 7 & 17mos.

(CLOSED) Disney's BOARDWALK INN and VILLAS Information Thread ~2012~

When staying in standard CL, can one request a room near the lounge? We will have 4 kids (1 under 3), and are looking for the best spot for us :) Thanks!

Making it special for a 10 year old..

Hi! Our first trip, dd was 10. For us, it was about noticing the little things. You know, the fact that the gold on the carrousel is *real* gold, and that the blue pavement between France and England is the English Channel. We stress observation in our family, so those little notes really made...

    4yo in the parks . . . timing?

Hi! We went to WDW in 2010 with a 10yo, 8yo & 1yo. We had no problem staying in the parks as long as we wanted, because the 1yo was in a baby carrier (wrap-style) most of the time and could easily nap in it. We would like to return in 2013, and would have 13yo, 11yo, 4yo & 1yo. I am not overly...

Concierge/Club Level Information - Part III (October 2010)

When next we go to the world, we will have 5+ baby. We have stayed at WL and loved it (transportation, theming, etc). We are considering staying at a Standard CL room at BWI next time, as it would accommodate 5+baby and would still have great proximity to parks and transportation. However, it...

(CLOSED) Disney's BOARDWALK INN and VILLAS Information Thread ~2012~

Thanks so much! Is there a way in CL to request a larger balcony? Is there a particular view or location that would be likely to get us a larger balcony (in a Standard CL room)? Thanks again!

(CLOSED) Disney's BOARDWALK INN and VILLAS Information Thread ~2012~

Hello! Another question about CL and the lounge: How do they handle dietary allergies in the snacks & breakfast? We have one with a soy allergy (which seems to be hidden in everything). I know that the restaurants (at least, ts) are *great* about handling allergies, but am uncertain about how...

(CLOSED) Disney's BOARDWALK INN and VILLAS Information Thread ~2012~

Hi! Some more questions: 1. In a Standard CL room, just exactly what "perks" do we get? I know we get access to the lounge, but what else comes with it? 2. Is there a favorite room request that we should consider or avoid? We will be there the week after Thanksgiving. 3. Is Boardwalk...

(CLOSED) Disney's BOARDWALK INN and VILLAS Information Thread ~2012~

Hi! Been reading on here, and are just about sold on a standard CL room! We would go Nov. 2013, but have a question about Innkeeper's Lounge: When it closes, is there no longer any access? Or is there just no longer any service? I ask because we will have a 1yo, and wonder how to handle it if...

    Boardwalk Inn Lovers, opinions please!

That is truly great info! Some background: We have been to WDW once before, stayed at WL, with me, dh, and 3 kids (1 under 3). This time, we will have a 1yo plus our other 3 (now all over 3). In the past, we *really* enjoyed the flexibility of the DxDP, and found that TS and CS were equally...

    Boardwalk Inn Lovers, opinions please!

Looking at our options, we have discovered one we had never considered before! There is only a negligible difference in price between 2 options. We would like your opinions and thoughts: Option 1: Standard view regular room with DxDP and parkhopper tickets. Option 2: Standard view CL room...

    Carrier for Heavier Babies

I have used our wrap-style carrier (started with Mobywrap and graduated to Wrapsody Bali Breeze) until almost 35 lbs. Until about 30 lbs, I put her in a front carry (facing me), and then just shifted her to the side for a hip carry. This way, I could leave it on and just "pop" her in and out...
