Disney's CORONADO SPRINGS RESORT Information & Questions

I have a May BC booking made directly with Disney, and I haven't heard anything. Another poster in this thread had a March booking moved to AKL, and he was contacted by his travel agent. I'm thinking they are probably waiting to address bookings until they can settle out cancellations and final...

Disney's CORONADO SPRINGS RESORT Information & Questions

If you don't mind my asking, how were you contacted about your booking please? I have a BC reservation for May, and I haven't heard anything yet. I even called on Sunday to add my Magical Express arrangements and specifically asked if BC was undergoing renovation or construction this spring...

    Current Disney Spring parking situation?

Does anyone know if there is a passenger drop off location, and if so, where it is?

Best grocery store for stop between MCO and WDW?

Publix is a very good option. I used the one on Vineland Ave the last time we visited, and it had everything we were looking for. Just know that Goodings is the tourist grocery store, and prices will generally be higher there.

RCCL Now Charging $10pp Fee for Dreamworks Breakfast

Yes, there are plenty of opportunities to interact with these characters at other times. No one said RCCL was terrible, and no one is ever forced into a character breakfast. What's disappointing is the way RCCL chose to handle this. I think people would be very willing to pay $10pp for a...

RCCL Now Charging $10pp Fee for Dreamworks Breakfast

Based on what I'm seeing over on the Cruise Critic boards, Royal Caribbean is now charging $10pp for anyone age 6 or over to book/attend the Dreamworks character breakfast that was previously "complimentary." This is effective May 1, 2014. Lucky me, I'm booked on a May sailing with my child...

Finalist in the Disney Store Design by Me Contest

My friend Chris is a rabid Disney fan and a graphic designer. He's having a magical moment today, as it was announced he's a finalist in the Disney Store's Design by Me t-shirt contest on Facebook! Of course, I want to see a dream come true for him, but if you're on Facebook I encourage you to...

Hi All! Unfortunately, we had to cancel our booking. Go ahead and take us off the list of DISers on the cruise JohnPA. Bummer for us, but I hope y'all have the BEST time!

    Single parent traveling with child

I thought of one more thing. While you can travel with a birth certificate, if you need to return to the U.S. by air from another country (for example, Mexico or the Bahamas), you will not be permitted to reenter the U.S. with only a birth certificate; you must have a passport. This would come...

    Single parent traveling with child

There's another reason you may want to obtain some documentation from a child's other parent if you are traveling alone: in some countries (including some of those located in the Caribbean) medical facilities can refuse to provide medical treatment for a child if both parents are not present and...

How many of your kids get seasick?

My son was 4 on our first cruise, and he was completely fine. I don't think he even noticed the ship was moving. I have a touchy stomach (I'm carsick easily), but I do fine at sea- no problems. Fingers crossed for you!

    Scrapbooking onboard

I went to the scrapbooking session on our Oct 10 sailing on the Wonder. You do get a small pack of paper (and anything free is lovely), but the supplies provided to scrapbook are far less than what anyone who actually scrapbooks on a regular basis would want. None were archival quality...

    No more lugging on water

Even if you don't think you need it for use on the cruise, these could be great for everyday use or traveling. Water quality in my area is not top notch- we usually drink water filtered through the fridge. It would be nice to have another option, and how do you know what is coming out of the...

    Bees at Castaway Cay

I am also allergic to bees, so seeing bees on Castaway is something I would remember. We were there last October, and I definitely didn't any stinging insects. I wonder if that might vary by season a bit.
