For our October 2010 trip I confirmed our room requests where there 48 hours prior to checking in at BLT. At check in the CM informed me there were no special requests listed. I don't think they are getting to the room assigner as posted below.

I thought I remember reading DCL changed the boarding pass procedure. Didn't they change it that you are issued a number prior to arriving at the terminal rather than first come first serve TIA for your help.

Thank you Badge! Worst part will be accomidations. DVC 2 bedroom 299 sq ft cabin on the Dream 2 Q Pacific Royal. I think the 2 rm Q would be just as painful after the 2 br but at least it is larger than the cabin so we will be happy

Depends on finances. If we have enough to spare and get park tickets for 2 days we will. How it stands now, during the DVC stay we will just visit Disney Quest but not one of the "big four" Thank you all for your feed back.

Thank you for posting this. We are DVC members and I was looking for options to get the perks as well. I think we may stay in the room for the first night though. Start off our trip on a Sat. and save the DVC points.

my mindset is that even though we are DVC memebers we don't want to deal with huge crowds so we use tour guide mike to plan our days. I am a bit more laid back in the DVC sense that I don't plan back to back park days ususally though. We will be back and have the leisure of planning a park...

It won't matter which side you book. You can smoke on your private *stateroom* veranda on either side of the ship. The only places they designate the starboard (I think it is starboard) side as the smoking side is in public areas.
