Ice cream and frozen juice swirl?

Hmm not sure, but the first thing that comes to my mind is the Dole Whip Float, could that be it? Here is a link to the menu at Aloha Isle in the Magic Kingdom: http://www.wdwinfo.com/wdwinfo/dining/diningdetail.cfm?Restaurant.ID=192

    coral reef portion sizes

When we planned our trip I spent a lot of time here looking at food pictures and reading reviews. Sometimes while looking at pictures I would think, "Sheesh, there is NOTHING on that plate!" As it turns out, a lot of Disney restaurants use huge plates, so once your portion is sitting all pretty...

    Fantasmic dinner package...which restaurant?

I did the Fantasmic dinner package in May at Mama Melrose, and we used our dining plan credits to pay for it. (1 credit per person) They do fill up quickly though, as the other posters mentioned! The reservations are also quite early, I can't remember what I was told, but I do know my ressie...

What is Chef Tj's schedule at Ohana?

I might be wrong, but I think I read that he is off Friday and Saturday. (I know he wasn't working the day I went, which was a Friday) Hope that helps.

    Cirque de Soliel for Kids???

My 10 and 8 year old really enjoyed it, they were both mesmerized for the entire show. One thing I would suggest is to take them to the early show as opposed to the late one. Less chance of them being too tired to sit still and enjoy it. Have fun.

    Q about 50's Prime Time

It must be hit or miss in there. We were there earlier this month and our waiter did nothing but take our order and bring our food. That said, I would skip it if I were you, your son is after all on vacation and if this might stress him I just wouldn't bother with it.

Be prepared for possible long lines to turn in GAD vouchers

That's more or less what we did too. There was one day, a Sunday at MK at the start of our trip, where I wished I hadn't cashed it in early. Turns out we didn't need it so I only used it for a couple of rides, I regret not getting the figurine that day instead. After that experience we skipped...

    Sunwing or Air Transat?

We flew to Disney with Air Transat and cleared US customs before we left (in Halifax) so we just had to grab our suitcases and go once we hit Orlando. As for Air Transat's service, I can't really complain. The flight was on time and things went smoothly. I tend to sleep on planes so I don't...

    Please help? HDDR or Luau?

That's exactly how my husband and I feel about the luau. Our kids were bored too.

Where is the best place to eat at Animal Kingdom?

We had a fantastic meal at Yak & Yeti.

    Please help? HDDR or Luau?

HDDR is the Hoop Dee Doo Musical Review located at Pioneer Hall (Fort Wilderness) As for the Luau, they seat patrons based on when they made their reservation, the further out you secured a ressie, the better your seat will be than those folks that booked last minute. Hope that helps. :)

    Skipping Animal Kingdom

I liked Animal Kingdom and wish I had planned more than 1 day there. My kids enjoyed it a lot too, they made me chuckle when they observed that AK didn't smell like the zoo....must be that Disney magic! I also loved the Nemo show, actually, I liked it better than the Lion King one.

    heat question

We were there 2 weeks ago and didn't need jackets or long pants. It was hot, and shorts and tank tops worked out well, even in the evening and early morning. I would pack a light jacket of some sort just in case, since you just never know with the weather. Don't forget your sunscreen, and have fun!

    Park Misters

My son's was leaking for some reason, and when we stopped at a cart to refill it with ice the lady working there noticed and happily took it from him and gave him a new one. We didn't have any problems with the second one. It sure was a lifesaver on those hot afternoons.

Kids in Bathroom Etiquette question. . .

It wouldn't bother me at all. We are all in our own stalls after all, rooms within a room.

    Recent Coral Reef experiences?

Hi, We ate there for dinner on May 1st. The service was good, and so was the dessert (Baileys and Jack Daniels mousse) but my main course (swordfish, I think) was waaaaay too salty, so it was not a very good dish at all. Maybe it was an off night, or just an off dish, but I'm not sure if I...

    Which Water Park?

:lmao: I'd forgotten about that cold water, I must have blocked it out.:scared: My kids were maneuvering my tube into it too. Brrrrrrrrr

    Which Water Park?

For adults I would also say Typhoon Lagoon, and for the same reasons as the above posters mentioned. The fish, the lazy river, the tropical feeling of the park. Blizzard Beach was loved by my kids though, personally I just couldn't get in to the whole winter theme...heck when I go on vacation...
