Just did this yesterday. You need to link everyone to your MDE account, making sure you can see everyone's ticket. When your fastpass window opens, you can book for your entire party.
As some people in my group where arriving different days, thought I wouldn't be able to book their fps...
We live in Austin and have driven several times. It usually takes us about 18 hrs. each way. This isn't counting the time change.
As we live in the north part of Austin, we drive 290 to I10 in Houston then across.
I would check with Bellservices at SSR.
We once stayed at BCV for a week, checked out for 2 days, then checked back in. (We went to Universal for the weekend) We didn't want to take all our luggage to Universal with us. We asked Bellservices if they could store some for us. It was not problem!

We didn't care for the transportation set up. Didn't like sharing buses with the campgrounds. It took to long to get to the parks.
We went this year the first week of June. Codes started coming out in March. I think a Disney Visa code came out first, then AP rates and room only code last.
I was at WDW the first week in May in 02. The weather was the same in Orlando as what we were getting in Austin.
We were at WDW the begining of June this year and it was more hot and humid than home.
