Has anyone done both Disney and Universal and lived to tell the tale?

We did a 3 day (2 night) visit and did 2 days at WDW and 1 day at US. We stayed on Disney property, but we live about an hour away so we had our own vehicle. Our kids are finally getting old enough to ride more rides so split stays are more likely as time goes on. Especially since our little one...

Ohana or Crystal Palace for breakfast. Which would you choose, and why?

Crystal Palace, no contest. Especially if you can get an 8am ADR on a 9am opening day. We've been there 5 times now... or 6? Whatever- one of my favorites for sure. I would recommend it to anyone. We have been to O'hana twice and both times were very long waits- 30 min for breakfast and over...

QS meals stress me out! How many ADRs is too many?

We like TS. We have done vacations with 3TS per day. We mixed it up with a couple 2TS meals. It is only good if you really have eating as a major part of your vacation. For us it is. I do not think 2TS meals per day is too much at all. Admittedly, 3 can get overwhelming on multi-day stays (when...

    Restaurants that allow strollers

We took ours with our youngest sleeping into Sci Fi and Tepan Edo- both were in mid-June 2014 during our anniversary. Our youngest was old enough for a high chair, so we parked for the rest of the time since she was awake. When my son was 5 weeks old- Crystal palace actually had an infant seat...

    Cape May Crab Legs

We've never been to Cape May. I really love crab legs and a place has to be pretty terrible to mess those up, lol. I'm not a Golden Corral fan, but I like the various crab shacks and little seafood places on the beach that have buckets of random seafood quite a bit.

Cretaceous Chicken Fried Steak, yes. :hippie: It's local for me so I just called real quick. Sorry I didn't see this until now.

TSA pulled my 6 year old for additional screening

Sorry for necromancing, but I would like to say that you are right, I meant the former head. He still has a vested interest in the scanners and played an integral role in their implementation.

    Cape May Crab Legs

I wonder if the people who really like it primarily live in areas where they do not have easy access to seafood like FL natives or those who live in coastal states.

    MNSSHP sold out?

We actually called the morning of the party (roughly 2 hours after the ticket services dept. opened) and the CM we got managed to find a ticket for us. pixiedust: :faint: :goodvibes :cool1: He said that someone had cancelled that morning through him so he could still access it- he said we were...

    I can't believe I saw this.....

By the time you go to a cast member and they notified security, every exit would be on massive lockdown. There are cameras *all over* Disney and they have plain-clothes security as well. That being said, who is going to go all the way into WDW, where you are fingerprinted to enter, to steal a...

    MNSSHP sold out?

We did ask if we could switch our tickets to Tuesday night and we were told they couldn't do that. :guilty:

    MNSSHP sold out?

Has anyone had experience with going to a MNSSHP with tickets but having one person they brought last minute be turned away at the gate? We have tickets for Sunday night. We decided last minute to invite my SIL (added her to ADRs and the room) but when I went to buy tickets, it shows that the...

    How old to ride alone?

Yes. Sometimes dh and I sit with the baby and the 2 older kids sit together. They are 9 and 4- but to be fair, my son is off the charts in height (he's 43" now I believe). We've done it on Haunted Mansion and and the new Ariel ride.

TSA pulled my 6 year old for additional screening

Then you must always choose the full-body scanners and maybe not fly into areas where they use them a lot? Tampa, FL uses them a lot. I flew to Vegas with my husband in 2012. They definitely run their hands up your thigh into the crease and depending on the agent, will run the back of their hand...

TSA pulled my 6 year old for additional screening

Nope. ...and now you know one reason why it's not a good idea. Because it happened to you. Just be thankful they didn't go inside his underwear. It's not actually security. It's security theater. And it lines the pockets of the head of Homeland Security- who had a vested interest in the...

WDW & Universal - which one first? Update in post #21

I would do Universal last since you have a child old enough to like HP and someone who would like the roller coasters/intense rides. If you had little kids I would have said go the other way around. Get the "boring" for them stuff out of the way and do Disney after. We got US annual passes...

Throwaway room (read post #2041 or #2710 before posting)

No. I make FP+ selections all the time. I have APs, but if you link your ticket # it will work, too. It goes by park tickets, not by hotel. Every time we do get a room, we get new bands. We have 2 full sets and an extra set for me and dh for our F&W trip. They are all active and interchangeable...
