    ABD Disneyland/Escape

Whilst the trip to Imagineering is a wonderful experience, if your goal is to chat with an imaginer about their career I had a wonderful and long conversation with an imagineer at a dine with an imagineer at Disney's Hollywood Studios in Disney World. If they're still running that I'd strongly...

DCL Onboard Restricted Items Policy Updates: Decorations, Ducks and Ashes and More

Unfortunately i don't agree that its a harmless bit of fun. On our last cruise we saw 2 ducks sitting in the propeller of a life boat. I assume it would fall out if the boat was deployed but it did make us wonder about ducks being hidden against or in equipment which needs to move.

    Virtual Sports Simulators on Dream

When we were on the Dream in August we were able to book sessions on the golf simulator but when we boarded they cancelled the booking telling us it was not working, I later found out it had been broken for months and was not scheduled to be looked for another few months. They did say the...

Everything Genie, Genie+ and Individual Lightning Lane - Please Read Posts 1-7

Can you view the available Genie+ times before purchasing Genie+ for the day? Some days we like to like to visit the Waterpark in the morning before heading to the themeparks in the afternoon/evening. Trying to understand if we can see the next available ride slots before we commit to...

Norway cruise- how was the Dream?

there was a sign up at Guest Services which said the ship was full so no room upgrades were possible. The ship did feel very busy when leaving the ship in some ports and the lines to disembark the ship on the final morning (when they announced your character for luggage was ready) were very...

    Port adventures cancelled

There’s no excuse for guests to behave like that and not respect the locals, but it’s also an odd situation in that by running the excursions guests would be spread over a much larger area and less likely to overwhelm the villages. Funny how the ports provide infrastructure to support large...

    Port adventures cancelled

Just back off the Norwegian Fjords cruise on the Dream and had an unusual experience, arriving into Skojlden to be told that all port adventures requiring guides or busses were cancelled (95% of shore excursions), a very strange situation. This was on top of a number of other excursions being...

Disney Bahamas Cruise-Does ship just drift?

We did a UK staycation on the Disney Magic just as we came out of all the Covid restrictions. The 3 night cruise had no stops. Here’s a photo of where we went. Guessing your sea days will be similar

Never have I ever … cruised to the same destination (after 7 cruises).

    Tipping

Totally understand and appreciate the work of a head server in making the system run smoothly. My point is simply I don’t tip the chef, or the cleaners or the technicians, or the provisioners or schedulers etc who also contribute to the overall experience. The tips are generally limited to those...

    Tipping

I know there are a lot of opinions on the amounts people tip and I apologise in advance for another discussion on the topic but… We’ve been on 7 Disney cruises usually around 7 nights each time, but only ever see or speak with the head server on the first evening (when it’s just a greeting) and...

    Who’s sailed from England

I sailed on the Barcelona to Dover cruise about 5 years ago and got sea sick going across the bay of biscay. This has been the only time I’ve ever got sea sick on a cruise. But if you pack some tablets you should be fine.

    Visitor access

We’re visiting Hawaii on a cruise and are hoping to visit aulani, hoping to have a drink and/or something to eat. I know you can’t use the hotel facilities like the pools but do you need to be a hotel guests to walk into the lobby and/or eat at the restaurants?

    Golf simulator

We’re booked on the Dream next summer. Does anyone know how busy the golf simulator is and how easy/hard it will be to get a reservation? Also keen to know costs and the experience of others who’ve used it.

    Restaurant reservations

I’m logging on to the app as soon as the days of our visit are released and the restaurant availability is almost nothing, we’re a group of 7 which I know makes things tough but even if I split our group into 2 I still only get the same 2 restaurants available for lunch and dinner every day...

    Dining Plan question

I know you can use the “face value” of the voucher towards the cost of the meal, but can we use 2 vouchers to cover the cost of an expensive meal or is it limited to one voucher and we must pay the difference in cash?

Our turn tomorrow!! Few questions please?

We stayed at the DCR a few weeks ago and picked up the breakfast box each morning. We got tea or coffee sachets, selection of butter, jam, nutella etc. a cereal bar, apple puree, bread roll, choice of warm croissant or box of cornflakes and a carton of apple or orange juice. It was a lot of food.

Anyone from the UK done an ABD tour?

We've booked to go on the backstage tour in October. I agree calling the states from the uk can be quite expensive but I found Disney to be very understanding. When we booked last year I called them about a week or so after the new dates had been released. The rep on the phone took all my...
