We were there Nov 13 - 19, 2009 and the Castle was lit up. It was amazing to see it. Don't miss the Osborne Lights at DHS if they are running by then. They were last year.
We went in mid Nov last year and there were no crowds at all. Walked on or into everything. It was great. Weather was about 65 to 70, got cool in the evenings. Free dining was still on but I think it was the last week (we didn't take it so I don't know for sure).
We were there on the 13th to 18th last year and it was mostly decorated. The Xmas parades had started and the Osborne Lights were on (which were amazing by the way).
Mid Nov, everything was walk on. Only waited once for TSM and that was 10min. The weather is moderate, it was a cheaper time to go and last year it was during free dining if you need that.
This is not true! We were there last year from Nov 13th to 18th and most things were walk on. It was very slow and some CM said it is always slow at that time. We would go again at that time based on the crowd conditions. I would have preferred it to be a bit warmer though.
There is entertainment all along the boardwalk. There was definitely kids in the bar at POR where the piano guy was. We went to Jellyrolls, it was tons of fun but definitely no kids. You would really enjoy it if you could find some childcare for your kiddos.
I rode the green side last November on our first trip to WDW. I hated every second of it and it's a good thing it ended when it did, I was about ready to loose my breakfast. I knew I was in trouble the minute they closed the doors and that trapped feeling came upon me. Then the console in...
We did our first trip to WDW last November (no kids) with very little planning (we prefer to travel that way). We thoroughly enjoyed ourselves, did one ADR and have no complaints. We did witness many, many children and families having meltdowns due to fatigue and stress...my guess being...
We did the green side for the first time last November. I HATED every minute of this ride. It ended just in time or I was about to lose it. It has alot more movement that folks on here give it credit for. I wasn't fussy about the closed in area too. It was way too much for me. Even DH who...
We were there on a 4 day in November and there were fastpasses all day. We got there after rope drop, rode standby, got a fast pass came back about an hour and a half later and then rode again after the lights, motors, action show standby with about a 15 min wait.
To answer your question about the boats from BW to DHS, yes, they will accommodate a wheelchair, EVC or whatever. We saw people us them on the boats when we were there in November. Sorry to hear about your mono.
On our November trip we spent the 1st night at the POR (mod) and the remainder of the trip at the Swan. I would pick the Swan hands down assuming the values are a lower category than a mod and we found the Swan to be much, much superior to the POR. The beds are to die for, a nice treat after...
We went on our first trip to WDW in November, no kids. We figured AK and Epcot would be our fav parks. Turned out to be MK and DHS. We needed more time in DHS than we alloted for.
I totally agree about Mission Space. I spent the whole time trying to keep calm and also not throw up. It ended just in the nick of time. I would advise the OP to seriously think about this ride. No way out once that little door closes.
Splash Mountain and try to catch the afternoon parade...we loved it. Grab an ice cream in the fresh waffle cones on main street and find a good curb side location to enjoy the parade.
