We did this last month. Watch from your favorite spot inside the MK. When it's over, leave and board one of the boats to one of the MK resorts. There is hardly ever a significant line and you can pick the shortest. We got right on during spring break (very peak crowds). Ride to the resorts...

BTW - you can still get to the Poly from FW - you just need to stop by the Magic Kingdom first. Riding the boats from resort to resort is one of the great freebies. Eating dinner at one of the MK resorts then riding the boat to the Poly to watch the fireworks is one of my favorite things...

I concur - our Nextel's worked great. Direct Connect is perfect for Disney. We had several folks think they were FRS radio's and ask where we got them. The only dead spot we found was in It's a Bugs Life (and the preshow area).
