Morimoto in Disney Springs - Reviews, thoughts, insights?

The biggest issue with OpenTable isn't the pricing, but the fact that they don't share the customer data with the restaurants. This prevents the restaurants from seeing valuable market trends, as well as marketing to their customers since OpenTable doesn't allow them to see contact info. They...

Best shoes for Disney World rain?

If you want actual sneakers, Adidas Ultraboosts are incredible when it's raining. They dry off quickly and are insanely comfortable.

Morimoto in Disney Springs - Reviews, thoughts, insights?

Thanks! And random PSA from someone who works in restaurant tech, in case people aren't aware, using platforms like OpenTable actually hurts restaurants, (same with DoorDash, UberEats, etc.) as they and other companies like them don't share the customer data with the establishment, (not in the...

Morimoto in Disney Springs - Reviews, thoughts, insights?

$200 for a high-quality dinner with drinks isn't bad at all, in my opinion. Living in LA for three years may have skewed my perspective on pricing though. Thanks for the insight. Looking more and more like this is going to be a must-do this trip.

Morimoto in Disney Springs - Reviews, thoughts, insights?

Hi all, Have a trip coming up in September which will be my and the wife's belated honeymoon since we did not feel comfortable traveling over the past year-plus. I am familiar with most resort/park options, but I have never been to Disney Springs. I have eaten at other Morimoto restaurants and...

Where would you stay for a resort-only trip?

Epcot area resorts for sure - you have access to Beach Club, Yacht Club, Boardwalk, and Swan/Dolphin. Gives you the entire Boardwalk area assuming it opens up soon, and the dining options at Swan/Dolphin are wildly underrated. Stormalong Bay at BC/YC is a great pool, they have a quiet pool as...

    Abracadabar

The bar at Il Mulino at the Swan is always a good option as well. Quality wine list, good bartenders, and live music on the weekends last time I was there. Think upright bass and a singer. We've also done the bar at BlueZoo which has very good bartenders and a quality cocktail menu. In regards...

    Quick Breakfast Ideas

When staying at the Swan, the easiest and relatively inexpensive spot is Fuel over at the Dolphin. Pastries, egg sandwiches, bagels, etc. Pretty good coffee too. Fuel at The Dolphin - this is their Yelp! page to get a good idea of what they have.

Priceline Deals - Any experiences good or bad?

Hi everyone, I recently came across a really solid price for a trip to WDW this fall, but I have zero experience with Priceline.com. The resort is the Dolphin, for context. Has anyone ever used that booking site for their trips? If so, can you please elaborate on your experiences and if you ran...

Everything Park Reservations - Please Read Post 1

Hi guys, Between work, COVID and moving cross country, my DW and I have not paid much attention to the goings on at the World since we didn't foresee a trip anytime soon. With that said, we have the itch, and are thinking about a trip in early September of this year. I saw that vaccinated folks...

Best restaurant on property if you can only splurge on one?

Yeah--not thinking "authentic" when I think "El Cholo." I grew up near East L.A. I can even make my own tamales. My GF is Mexican. Born and raised by the LA port. I learned a long time ago not to take her to places she hasn't approved of before. Lol.

Best restaurant on property if you can only splurge on one?

We had not thought of Disney Springs, since I haven't been in a long time. I know Morimoto has amazing spots dotted between LA and NYC, but does this one hold up?

Best restaurant on property if you can only splurge on one?

Thanks! We are looking into V&A for sure. However, given that this is a last minute trip, $1500 hasn't been saved for that type of dinner. I suppose I should have specified pricing. LOL.

Best restaurant on property if you can only splurge on one?

So my DGF and I are making a trip in 3 weeks to Disney to meet my parents for their anniversary. I am a seasoned WDW vet, while my GF grew up in SoCal, so she knows DL like the back of her hand, but has never been to the world. We are looking for one amazing dinner, however I've noticed that the...

    Jiko?

My DGF and I have eaten at Jiko multiple times, tried most of what is on the menu, and have never once walked away without feeling that it was one of the best meals we've ever had. (The fantastic wine selection doesn't hurt either) The service, food, and ambiance make for an amazing meal. Enjoy!
