My first program I was merchandise at the Polynesian and I loved it. It's such a laid back job, and you don't have to make a sales quota or push the merchandise, which I love. You'll be able to pick up shifts at other merchandise locations as well, which is great for networking. I only picked up...
Yes, it varies between roles and locations.
As CPs we are usually scheduled minimum 30-35 hours per week.
But if you work qsfb at magic kingdom for example, your hours can be wayyy more than that, especially during the holidays.
I became seasonal after my CP. For a seasonal cast member, you have to work atleast 150 hours a year. Every quarter you have to submit your availability. If you're able to keep up with your hours and remember to submit your availability, it should be no problem. I'm seasonal because I'm still...
There are busses that will take you to walmart, publix, the mall, and the post office. There's a trolly on international drive that can take you to nearby attractions, and the shopping outlets are within walking distance from patterson, chatham, and the commons. i've also seen people walk to...
1. There's a $300 fee (it's $800 for Disneyland) to pay after accepting your role...it covers first weeks rent and other housing events and whatever.
2. Parents usually have a waiting area in Vista or they take the car and hang until the kids get back from casting. However, this may be...
If you have the fear of not wanting to be there 7 months, I always recommend just doing spring and not advantage. If she ends up loving it (like I did!) you can always apply to extend. It's not always guaranteed, but if your record card is clean you're chances are pretty high.
My first program I was HOH at the Polynesian Resort. They made me and other CP's do HOH a couple times! But they did have a set HOH team so it wasn't often. I only did it once.
I did my program Spring 2013....what I ended up doing was that I extended my program... then went seasonal so I can finish school. Once I graduate I plan on moving in with some friends and applying to work down there full time :)
I think it depends!
When I was younger I hated going back to the hotel for a break.
But now that I'm older, I liked the break and pool time.
If the parks aren't incredibly busy or sweltering hot, you won't really need one.
But if it's midsummer which crazy crowds, then there's a good...
The most "regular" would probably be Animal Kingdom
-or-
The resorts will give you the most consistent hours. May not be 9-5 all the time, because CPs usually do get closing shifts, but for my first program I was merch at the poly, and I was usually always 3:30-midnight. I loved the...
You can do the program as long as you are enrolled in any college!
But, only a select few colleges will give you credits for the program. Talk to your advisor and he/she can tell you more about it.
I found out that I'm Recreation (H/H) so I'm assuming I'm the marina, bike rentals, etc, or the arcade. You can find out what you are on your dashboard!
I'm a little bummed that I'm not childrens activities, but I'm hoping I'm at a marina!
Unfortunately, no ):
Suitemates have to be with you in line. Usually if you don't have your suitemates with you, it's usually the people standing next to you in line.
It totally changed my life too. I'm going for my second program in January. They're like potato chips, you can't have just one ;)
But seriously, I came out of this program broke and behind in school but I don't regret it for a second. I made some best friends who I still talk to everyday from...
