    Current fridge status

Our stay is 9/22- 9/29. I really wanted food and drinks in the room due to my son and myself both taking meds first thing in the morning with food. Not exactly a medical reason such as storing insulin but it would be easier than trekking to the food court to get him a cold drink every morning.

    Food Court coffee @ POR

With the current fridge situation I may skip ordering from Garden Grocer this trip. Can anyone tell me if POR food court has switched from Nescafe yet and if they have any liquid creamers for coffee?

My most embarrassing moment at Disney, share yours!!

At the end of an exhausting week at Disney trip several years ago I lost both my crabby husband and kids while we were walking towards the gates at MK. I spotted my hubby leaning against a railing with his back to me. I decided to walk up behind him and give him a hug. As I was getting closer I...

    Current fridge status

I just got an email regarding the fridge situation at POR. Here is the reply I got. Thank you for contacting the Walt Disney World® Resort. We have discovered a possible issue with one of the refrigerator models that is widely used in our Guest rooms at certain Walt Disney World Resort...

CSR - Rancho section - positives please ?

I loved Ranchos. The walk to the Pepper Market was long but the bus stop was 2 minutes from our room and the quiet pool even closer. And even if it takes several minutes to get to El Centro it is a stunningly beautiful walk. My favorite resort!

    Kona Cafe

We have always enjoyed Kona Cafe and went in October as always. The menu had changed and the food was just not good. My favorite ribeye has been taken off the menu for starters. The pork chop dish I ordered just was not good. My sister ordered a steak and said it was okay. My nephew had the duck...

    FD and Columbus Day?

I have really been overthinking the potential FD offer for fall due to schedules of people in our group and the lack of their funds for the trip. I have looked at all of the historical blackout dates of October FD in past years and determined that the week prior to Columbus Day has had FD dates...

    How does this sound?

My sister and I and our teenaged sons are doing the DDP in October and it is their first visit. I made ADR's @ BOMA, Kona Cafe, Cape May Cafe, Biergarten, 50's Prime Time and Ohana. How does this sound? These are all places my family and I enjoy. I was also taking into consideration the amount...

    First Timers

My DS (12) and I are staying @ POR 10/2/12 - 10/8/12 and my sister and her son (16) are joining us for their first visit. We are excited beyond words but I am really feeling obligated to make sure they don't miss anything fabulous. I have already told them that it is impossible to see it all in...

Does Biergarten run on time with ADRs?

We always arrive 15 70 20 minutes before ADR's and I don't really consider it waiting until the actual time of our ADR's comes. I waited maybe 10-15 minutes after our actual time on 2 or 3 occasions. I have had worse waits other places.

    How necessary are reservations?

I am not sure about your kids but mine would not eat more than a bite or two at character meals. They were normally great eaters and 15 minutes after leaving the restaurant they were starving. We found it disruptive to a meal. We were afraid to fill plates so we wouldn't miss any visitors to our...

    Fantasmic package at Mama Melrose

Has anyone done the Fantasmic package at Mama Melrose recently? I wondered what was included in the meal, what hours it was available (we are planning for May 2012 if this matters)and if the food was good? We ate at Tony's Town Square several years ago and it was fairly awful. I am therefore a...

A First Timer and An Over Planner Take On the World with a Bit of Pixie Dust

That gave me goosebumps! What a guy for coming up with a great plan for the proposal. Congratulations to you both and keep the great reviews coming.

    Non-Park Hopper Ticket restrictions

We buy non-hoppers every time we go. It is a great way to save money and we always take a break each afternoon. My kids know that this is the plan and really are fine with it. We enjoy the break for napping or swimming and are refreshed after we return. We used to stay at AK until late afternoon...

    Which to pick?

We are being joined on our 2012 trip by my sister and her 3 teenagers. She is a single parent who works too hard and this may be their one and only WDW trip. We have decided on a mod because of queen beds and our wish to relax at the resort a little. I want them to have that feeling of being in...

    Campfire at POR?

Can anyone tell me if they still offer the campfires at POR? And do you happen to know what nights/times these happen?

    Arcades safe?

I have an 11 year old son and even at this age would not let him go anywhere alone even at Disney. I do feel safe there but anything could happen. My son is becoming more responsible and making better decisions all the time but he is not there yet. My husband says I am not overprotective. I...
