The big one here is the DAR Ball (Daughters of the American Revolution)-your anscestor had to have fought in the Revolutionary War-and "He" is named with the write up of the young lady and her parents. its a big Society event =mostly for High school senior girls.

I'm curious if this is a quarterly magazine? There are two like that in our town-but they are monthlies-free at certain location-glossy-nice. They contain articles-vacations in different locations the world-one page each, maybe a 4 page fashion spread-local stores, restaurant reviews, recipes...

In our state, most Universities have "raised the bar" because of the former high dropout rate of Freshman-anyone could go to collge. But to do so, there had to be a nearby Community Collge-so they are filled with the , I hate to say, "underachievers" taking very basic remedial type courses...

We were there for a day while traveling this Christmas vacation-noone on the beach-really too cold. But there were some vacationers at all the Malls and "cute" shopping places, like Destin Commons and SanDestin

On another thread, about how great 2009 was for you, you state you tripled your charitable donations. To me, that money should go to a college fund for your DD.. There is no way a kid can completely fund a college education, especially if they want to go to a higher tier University.
