Has anyone tried any of the no sugar added ice creams at Disney?

Definitely be careful with sugar-free items like ice cream...sometimes sugar is replaced with sugar alcohols which can have unfortunate stomach side effects when consumed in larger quantities. I've had the sugar-free vanilla and taste wise it's fine, but only had maybe half a scoop.

I dont like my 15 year old DD!!

I'm 44 and I still think my mom hates my 15 year old self! And I used hate intentionally, I was a teenage beast....also completely confused as to why I reacted the way I did. Self-control was a hard learned skill for me. You've gotten great advice, but consistency is key...that and not...

Ever get motion sickness during a movie?

Thank you for the warning!!!!! The only one that's ever effected me was the one with Paul Newman & Tom Cruise, during the scenes where they are playing pool. blerg, had to close my eyes...

Why do men like long hair on women and daughters?

Good question...I might love Corndog best today, highly enjoyable!

    Family finds kidnapped woman

I've always believed vigilante justice was so wrong, but if this was my sister? Would do the same damn thing and wouldn't think twice. Thank goodness they found her in time.

Did anyone not have fibroids removed?

I am also in the did not wait to have them removed group...had the whole ball of wax removed at 35, best decision EVER. Now unfortunately this does not answer your question. If they are interfering with your daily life, don't wait for menopause, just don't.

WWYD? My friend stole a dog!

I think people who rescue are great, but this dog doesn't seem to have been abandoned, mistreated, etc. Whoever said power has gone to her head was right, crikey. It might be a different standard of care than she would like, but it's not a crime to not neuter your dog. I have a social...

    Not a good night etc...

Baby steps..it won't be OK in one day and it's completely Ok to just wallow sometimes, but you have made a hard but amazing choice to start moving forward on a new journey. That can become really easy to wallow in how hard it is though (at least for me!!) so I do mentally set a time deadline...

    Moral Dilemma

I'm just guessing at the OP's teaching specialty, but this seems much much more like a legal issue with morality being more of a personal feeling. I have a friend who is a school psychologist for a district and while I don't know all the legal requirements when dealing with kids & their IEP's...

flu shot -- yes or no?

This...one thousand times this!!!! I think many people who say they got the "flu" have never really had it, it's so so so awful. The one time I had it I finally understood how so many people died during the outbreak in the early 1900's, it's that awful. I ended up on short-term disability...

Buying merchandise without a price tag

I search through the pile of whatever it is to find the one single item that doesn't have a tag and/or barcode and specifically choose that one, just so I can take it to the cash register on purpose and ruin everyone's day. Every single time.

    Never EVER again in October

We were there the weekend of Oct 11-14 and found the same things with the wait times, the waits were never ever as long as the posted times by a quite a lot. It was crowded but manageable and not overwhelming, the only truly bad part was trying to cross the hub between the electric parade and...

Be Our Guest, Is it Worth it???

We had dinner in February '13 and were lucky enough to be seated in the room with the rose, Beast's picture, etc. (Sorry, don't know what it's called!) Probably the best table in the room too, right next to the window where the rose is so we could see the entire room, total luck of the draw...

Best place to take sick child

You might check with the front desk...we ended up with a kid with strep throat once, went to concierge and ended up with a service that picked up mom & kid at the hotel, took them to the urgent care center with the current shortest wait time, got prescription filled and brought them back to the...

    Enchanted Tales--will adults like it?

Don't think I'd make it high on my priority list as it is definitely geared towards little kids. If there is no wait, the details of the cottage are great, plus they do a fantastic job of involving kids & the audience in the story...my nieces were adorable as Mrs. Potts and a salt shaker, but...

Can someone tell me about kidney removal?

I can't speak to Kidney surgery, but I've had many abdominal surgeries from a laproscopic gallbladder removal and gastric bypass to a fully open hysterectomy to a hip to hip incision tummy tuck with muscle tightening. MomRN gave you some of the best and most important advice ever, it will hurt...

Quick Service Recommendations in all Parks!

I was shockingly impressed with Pinocchio's Village Haus BBQ Chicken pizza last week. Shocked, it was good and it had been many many years since we had been there after our last just kinda blah experience. Plus we walked out the door and watched the fireworks from the spot between there & the...

MB's Cause Huge Lines at FP Return Points

It was daunting to see at first, but really didn't take long at all. Maybe we were just really relaxed, but even the stand by lines seemed to move faster without the starts/stops you used to get with just the paper fast passes. My niece & I went stand-by on Big Thunder Mountain with an...

    Brussel sprouts or french fries?

That's one where I'd pick the sprouts, eat the sprouts and be pissed off the entire time I was eating them!!! That said I LOVE when there are calorie counts on menu boards, I do make my choices based on calorie counts (and taking other things into consideration, ie, what the meal is actually...
