DME will get the luggage as long as you put the DME tags on them. We usually do this when we are checking in the luggage at our departure airport. The ride from MCO to POR is roughly 60 minutes. May be more or less depending on the number of stops the bus makes.

WL has bus and boat service. If memory servers me right, service starts one hour prior to park opening (may be earlier).....

Another angle to consider is to get a non-waterproof camera and purchase a waterproof housing for it. Did is on our last trip and it worked very well at TL. Also I did see some people with smart phones in a waterproof housing. This may be another angle you can consider if you have a smart...

Just make sure you know how to play the stand-by passenger game. Getting out of Orlando on stand-by passes can be tricky (but not impossible) certain times of the year :)

Do it all the time! The only plans we make is which park to visit on which day. We go with the flow on the rest :) and have a great time.
