It's May! Yay! Waiting for the rest of 2016

A "walkabout" refers to a journey taken by Australian aboriginals. My guess is that the poster suspects, or knows, that either the Fantasy or the Dream will be doing an Australia itinerary.

    Newbie with some questions

Hello there, and welcome to the DISBoards Cruise Line Forums. I'm sure there will be others that will stop by with a great deal of additional input, but I'll start anyway. "1. Does anyone know when DCL usually comes out with a new schedule and/or opens up to start booking for a new season?" If...

Disney Magic’s October 28, 2015 Sailing Altered to a Castaway Cay Double Dip

Welcome to the DISboards! A "double dip" Disney Cruise refers to an itinerary that stops twice at Castaway Cay, Disney's private island. Our family did one in 2010 on the Disney Wonder. We would love to do another double dip in the future as Castaway Cay is our favorite port!

    Remy brunch

Absolutely! We did all four adult dining options on the Fantasy this year: Palo Brunch, Palo Dinner, Remy Brunch, and Remy Dinner. We prefer Italian over French cuisine. However, Remy is an experience not to be missed. If I had to choose only one meal at each venue, I would pick Palo Brunch and...

Is Remy really as good as Victoria and Albert's?

You will not regret your decision to book a reservation for Remy. As someone who has experienced both of these upscale dining venues, I can tell you that you are going to absolutely love Remy. :thumbsup2 Have fun on your Disney Cruise! :goodvibes

    1st day of the cruise

Possibilities: (1) Stop by Guest Services to sign up for any activities you didn't get to prearrange online (there are several options) (2) Pick up a Day One Navigator and study it (see what interests you then) (3) Visit the Kids Clubs during open house. (4) Visit the Spa during open...

Opinions?? Best amount of nights for a 1st cruise??

Oh that's very frustrating. :worried: It would be great if they stuck with one week and kept it at that. Generally speaking, a lot of districts in the Northeast select the third full week of the month. I still say you would do well to book now before pricing begins to increase. If your dates...

Opinions?? Best amount of nights for a 1st cruise??

As already stated above, it would be best to book your April 2016 Disney Cruise now. The longer you wait, the more likely you will be paying more for the same cruise. I see you live in NH. If your school district follows the majority of the Northeast schools' calendars, I'd say the April break...

Opinions?? Best amount of nights for a 1st cruise??

Our first Disney Cruise was a 7-Night Eastern Caribbean cruise on the Disney Magic. My youngest was only 3 months old. Yes, that was back in the day when the minimum age to cruise with Disney was 3 months. My oldest was 5 years old at the time, and she couldn't get enough of it. Frankly, neither...

    Cruise vs. WDW?

If you book a cruise on the Disney Fantasy, or the Disney Dream, you'll have access to the AquaDuck. If you cruise on the Disney Magic, you'll have access to the AquaDunk. Do a Youtube search for both to see these first-in-the-industry roller coasters at sea. If you are a Disney fan, you will...

Said I would never do it again.

You won't regret your decision. The 5-Night Castaway Cay double dip itinerary was one of my family's favorite! If you can add a pre- and/or post-WDW visit, then you'll experience an amazingly magical vacay! Enjoy! :goodvibes

    I did it! I booked!

Congratulations!!! As PP said, planning is half the fun. So between now and next May you could: (1) Read the DISboards cruise forum. You'll learn a lot! (2) Read Personal Navigators online. One great source is the Disney Cruise Line Blog. See here...

    Anna & Elsa

Princess Anna was on the Disney Fantasy this past February. Elsa's royal duties, as Queen of Arendelle, prevented her from cruising at that time.

    Cruise with a 1 and a 3-year-old

My youngest was only 4 months old when we first cruised on the Disney Magic. My oldest was then 5 yrs. old. Our challenge was to get her to come out of Oceaneers Club, not the other way around. The baby spent a few hours in "It's a Small World Nursery" so that mom and dad could enjoy Palo. We...

What is the best dining rotation to have on Fantasy?

Our dining rotation on our last Disney Fantasy Western cruise, with Costa Maya, was ERAERRA. That rotation had us dining in Royal Court on Formal, Semi-Formal, and Pirate nights. We enjoyed our meals in all the MDRs and would definitely be fine with this rotation again. However, since my...
