Banff is definately the best place to view the Rockies, it can be a little expensive to stay right there. Another area close by is the town of Canmore, Alberta (about 20 minutes away). Lake Louise is another place you will want to visit.
Check out the CCRA website for info on border crossing times. It hasn't been that bad, about 10 to 15 minute wait.

I would head right down to Windsor on Hwy 401 and cross the Ambassador Bridge which connects directly to I-75. From there, it's about 17 hour straight-through (depending on how fast you drive).
We are staying for 14 days starting next Friday!
Should we bring a Kitchen tent as extra shelter? We are travelling with another family and both have pop-up trailers and attached screen rooms. We usually dine together to save on work and to keep the kids occupied.
We are scheduled to arrive on the 27th of this month for 14 days. What is a better loop for partial hookup? 1500 or 2000? The 1500 loop looks closer to the pool, but further from the main bus route.

We just fitted our 13" combo in our 2001 Dodge Caravan Sport. Our model has the two bucket seats in the second row and we placed the 13" combo on the floor between the front and second row of seats. The TV is in there tight and we bought a wedge made from styrofoam in a special nylon pouch...
I just found the Toronto Star story dated October 13th, that states Disney will come out with some incentives for Canadian in about 3 weeks. We are arriving on the 27th of October and will be there until the 10th of November. We are trying to make up our minds whether to purchase our 7 Day...
PopUp Times at http://www.popuptimes.com/ is probably the best source of Pop Up info on the internet and includes and extensive user forum.

Here is a link to the Canada Customs & Revenue Agency Website. This site is updated every two hours with wait times for most US and Canadian ports:

We have airline tickets for late October and early November on Northwest from Detroit to Orlando. I understand that NW is clipping appx 20% of their flights, has anyone been contacted by their airline to advise of flight cancellation. If so, did they offer any other flights?
When are you going? If not for a couple of months, I would wait. The current promo for accomdations at WDW ends this month, and Disney should followup with another offer. In years past they have offered Tickets at par, buy 1 get one 1/2 price, etc.
We have partial hookup ressies for this Oct/Nov and did not request a specific loop. We have a popup with no pets. Will they assign at check-in? We are also travelling with another family also with their own popup, can we get sites next to each other?
If anyone is looking for Disney Halloween costumes, I was recently as Sears in Windsor and found a large section of Disney related costumes for both kids and adults.
I checked the official WDW website last month to check on the Disney Halloween Party that usually runs from October 29 to October 31. Last month I had the dates of the events and the site said to check back later for more info. I went back in today and I cannot find anything on this event...
This is the exact reason why Great Britain and the rest of Europe is slaughtering live stock by the millions. Someone thought it would be OK to import a personal amount of banned beef.
It is not worth the risk. The area around WDW is full of grocery/fruit markets. Besides, it will likely be...
