So I can finally post this

This brought tears to my eyes and a great big smile to my face. I think it's great how you surprised your kiddos who didn't think they could be surprised - and that they get to spend Christmas in Disney World! Yes, Virginia, there is a Santa Claus! :santa:

    Blog Comments

According to the article, you need only to enter your DISboards login and password. Thanks for the heads up, safetymom! I hate having to go through yet another login and password only to post to a specific blog, but I would so like to win the game. :)

OK Experts: What's the biggest Disney mistake you have made?

1st mistake: trudging through Epcot while it rained and trying to get in as much as we could. UGH! We all ended up with colds, me being the sickest in the group. Fortunately, I had one of those just-in-case thoughts and packed some NyQuil/DayQuil gel tabs. Believe you me, it saved our trip...

    ALWAYS necessary to nap?

But I also agree with PPs - only you know your kiddos and if they need naps, better to give yourselves some wiggle room with time so that you can get that nap if necessary.

    ALWAYS necessary to nap?

We thought about planning time for naps, but we are so glad we didn't. The time it would take to get on a bus, travel back to our resort, nap, get on another bus and travel back to a park would have been wasted time, in our opinion. There were times when we waited for over 30 minutes for a bus...

    got this PIN email today

I don't think you're doing anything wrong, laughinplace2. I think they just randomly go out. I've gotten 2 PINs in the last month and I hadn't entered a Disney site of any kind since probably last April. Right now, the PINs I have are for 40% off deluxe villas, 35% off deluxe, 30% off...

2010 Free Dining Discussion-Free Dining released for everyone (see 1st post)

I know I read this somewhere before, but will someone please remind me, what are PINs and how do you get them? And yes, I guess you're all right when it comes to the ADRs. I knew several other families who were planning their stay at Disney the same time we were and none of them had a clue...

2010 Free Dining Discussion-Free Dining released for everyone (see 1st post)

We were thinking about going in Sept or Oct (for MNSSHP) and my question is: if Disney were going to offer the FD, wouldn't they have done it by now since most of their guests are adamant about getting their ressies done?

Lunch without reservations - bad idea?

lilmissbehaved, that is exactly what my plans are! I figured we would be up so early for breakfast that we would then eat lunch around 11-11:30 because all of our dinner ressies are for between 5 and 6. I believe this will work fine for us.

What to do if you're late for dinner reservation

I thought of jotting down each restaurant's number with our ressie number so that I wouldn't have to use that ridiculous $4 info. I just hate the thought of possibly being penalized because of their own system, especially if I'm using it correctly by giving my party a sufficient amount of time...

Lunch without reservations - bad idea?

We've made dinner reservations for evening, but I didn't make lunch reservations because I thought that would bog us down too much in time limitations. I've reviewed our lunch options and none of them require ADRs, so I feel we'll be okay by simply choosing some place when everyone's hungry -but...

What to do if you're late for dinner reservation

A friend recently told me of an incident where they used the bus service and left a park an hour and a half early in order to make their reservation for one of the princess meals and still ended up being 15 min late due to the constant stops and loading of the bus. If this happens to us...

    Overwhelmed!

:rotfl:This was me only a month ago! Trust me, I feel your pain. It's a lot to take in and absorb, isn't it? My family of 5 will be doing the basic dining plan as part of the Magic Your Way package. The way we see it, with the dining plan, the food is already bought and paid for no matter...

*OFFICIAL MARCH 2010 THREAD* - Lets countdown together!

Ahh, I see. Rather than paying for hoppers, you simply pay for additional days and use the tickets as though you had 2 days in one. Correct? Wait a darn-tootin minute! Is it CHEAPER to buy additional days than to purchase hoppers??????????????

*OFFICIAL MARCH 2010 THREAD* - Lets countdown together!

You were allowed to go to more than one park in a day WITHOUT having to purchase the hopper option? I'm completely confused. Not only have I been told on this website, but also by my agent at DU, that if you do not have the hopper option, you will only be allowed in one park per day. Am...

How do I make a ticker?

You can choose one from www.magicalkingdoms.com. At DISboards, click on your login name, then choose "Customize Profile" then choose "Edit Signature", paste your ticker there. There's a thread in this forum where you can post just to see your ticker "in action".

*OFFICIAL MARCH 2010 THREAD* - Lets countdown together!

This is absolutely true. If you want to go to more than one park on any given day, you must have park hoppers to do. For your last 2 days, you can always upgrade to park hoppers when you get to WDW. However, my understanding is that the cost for the upgrade is the same whether you buy park...

*OFFICIAL MARCH 2010 THREAD* - Lets countdown together!

Paid off our trip last night! :woohoo: Now, the fun of packing begins. Still trying to lose those last few pounds as I am determined to fit into last year's capris. ;)

Park Hopper Passes - worth it for very first visit?

I'm gonna throw a curve ball as to another reason why I'm considering hoppers: We're staying at FWR cabins and I made our ADRs for dinner back in October, not knowing which parks we would be visiting on what days. Now, I'm looking at our ADRs, in order: Sat. Chef Mickey's Sun. Trail's End Mon...

*OFFICIAL MARCH 2010 THREAD* - Lets countdown together!

This our very first family vacation in 21 yrs of marriage and, of course, our first trip to Disney. Who else is going to WDW for the very first time? I'm so excited I want to shout it from the roof tops - WE'RE GOING TO DISNEY!
