Pets - options for a) pet care/pet sitting or b) activities we can enjoy with pet (in Orlando/Lake Buena Vista/Central FL)

You do realize people travel with their pets and just need daycare while they are in the parks right? We are trying to help here with well thought out, and well researched options.

    Marriott Sabal Palms

I think I should clarify what I was talking about re: the voluntary 'talk'. After check-in (and before we were given our room), we were directed to another member to offer us a 3 night stay blah blah blah. We politely declined and were on our way. It was just awkward for all involved, and would...

    Marriott Sabal Palms

Does anyone know if there is still a timeshare talk at check in? We love the properties, but disliked not being able to get our key card until speaking with a rep about a timeshare (though it was only very briefly). Thanks.

Pets - options for a) pet care/pet sitting or b) activities we can enjoy with pet (in Orlando/Lake Buena Vista/Central FL)

I researched quite a bit and found Rover dog boarding to be legitimate and a great option. Owners post their private home setting or some can come to you. We found a lovely couple in Four Corners (very close to WDW). Once you identify location,/dates, you are provided several options and then...

WWYD - offsite or a value

Hopefully you know that parking/resort fees are added to the cost not mentioned in the room cost. I have a real aversion to paying these costs. I found a Fairfield Inn/Suites with great reviews in LBV that charges neither for the night before we check into OKW next month. I tried so hard to find...

Need hotel with free parking and shuttle to the parks

Agree 100%. Cheap and included transportation will be a tough one. Cheap doesn't always mean nice. WDW hotels and transportation service are very well documented here and review sites. In my research, the common thread about transportation elsewhere is that it is sporadic. With WDW resorts, you...

Drury Inn - Oversized 2 Room Suite with 2 Queen Beds

Haven't stayed at Springs Drury in particular, but have stayed many times at the brand. It is by far our favorite when traveling. Having a balcony option is wonderful at this hotel, as we've never seen this at other Drury's. Their rooms are very pleasant, clean and spacious. Hope this helps.

Saratoga Springs vs Contemporary vs Beach Club for MNSSHP trip

I second SSR. Stayed many times when our grandchildren were young. One of the better quick service options for both adults/children. Walk to Springs. Grandstand had first on/first off bus location (last time we were there anyway). We stayed at the section nearest to Grandstand pool that has a...

What's your favorite Marriott property near WDW or MCO for 1 night?

We stayed at Springhill Suites at the Millenia Mall prior to checking in to WDW. There is also a Residence Inn attached to the property. Just off I4. Very nice property, pool area, and breakfast.

Marriott Grande Vista or Harbour Lakes?

We also love Cypress Harbour. Request water view. Resort is beautiful.

    B resort&spa Disney Springs

We stayed twice, second time convinced us never again. Bathrooms were fine, bed was fine. Pullout couch was gross. Furnishings shabby. Felt like it needed a complete renovation with a deep clean.

What are your favorite Parks for "non-riding" Adults..

Epcot for sure…Studios is fun to walk around. Fond memories of drinking iced coffee from Starbucks at a shaded table and just taking it all in. The walk (or boat ride) from Epcot to/from Studios is very relaxing and beautiful. Stop and have a meal/drink at Boardwalk area.

Here Now & Just Back WDW Reopening Experiences Including Park Hopping

We are just back from a quick 3 day trip using park hoppers. Was expecting it to be extremely crowded, and was pleasantly surprised it wasn't bad as I feared. Wearing masks in the heat is what you would expect. We did it w/o complaint both inside and outside. We found areas to take mask breaks...

    Recommendations for a private rental

We use VRBO or Airbnb all the time. I scour the homes, using the filters for what I want and most importantly look for several RECENT reviews that are very positive. Then, I will contact the owner with a couple of questions to see if they respond quickly and kindly. If an owner doesn't respond...

    Drury Inn Opening Date?

I concur with everything said about this hotel chain. We will go out of our way to stay there when we travel if one is nearby. Just drove 2,000 to see our son and we stayed in 4 Drury hotels. All of them were excellent from the rooms (we stay in a 1 bedroom suite), the kickback food/drinks, and...

    Lake View villa recommendations?

We are staying at the Marriott Cyprus Harbour in two weeks (our second visit). Very nice 2 bedroom villas and beautiful pool areas. You can request a lake view, and hopefully you will get! I like that it isn't high rise and it is spread out. Our first villa was across the lake and there was a...

B Resort – Disney Springs Hotel vs Holiday Inn Disney Springs

Stayed there a couple years ago for a night before checking in to Disney villa. It was just gross. Seems fine when you walk in (except the sickeningly sweet fragrance pumped into the lobby), but our rooms were old and just not appealing at all. The pull out couch in our daughter's room was...

How to go about room requests if you rented DVC points

As someone posted, at the check in page on My Disney Experience you can make requests as well. The system doesn't care if you rented points or are an owner. You can also change your mind and amend your original request if you want.

    Renting a house offsite

VRBO is a great resource. Agree that looking for plentiful recent reviews is important. I always correspond with the owner initially with a question or two to see how quickly they respond. It's important to me that the owner is responsive to any and all questions.

    Recommendation for First Night stay

Staybridge Suites in LBV doesn't have resort fee, but just added a parking fee of $10 as of 1/20. Still, it's cheaper than most charge. Our daughter/son-in-law stayed there last year and said it was just fine. Not fancy, but clean and convenient to Disney Springs, etc. Breakfast is included.
