One our favorite things we've done on other cruises was to rent a car in Skagway and drive up into the Yukon. There is beautiful scenery along the way to gorgeous Emerald Lake, where we turned around. It was 1.5-2 hrs. each way IIRC. Plenty of time to do a leisurely trip with our 12+ hrs...

Hello - DH and I just booked this yesterday. We've done 5 Alaskan cruises before, but this will be our first DCL cruise. We're excited about trying a new cruise line. :banana:

When I made our reservations for this December, I specifically asked if Concierge was also available on the 5th floor, as we greatly prefer this location (read - do NOT want any 6th floor unit). MS assured me that we could stay on the 5th floor. :scared:

ITA - We can be at WDW for 12-14 days and barely spend 1/2-day at the MK - if at all. I didn't vote as there wasn't a category for: No - not interested at all in buying CRV We're Epcot and AK fans (MGM is ok too). I guess that's why we own BWV and AKV. :woohoo:

One bedrooms are easier to get than the studios. That may help a bit, but the std. view part will still be the hard part. It seems that BCV and BWV are ones where 'buy where you want to stay' REALLY comes into play. Good Luck!

Our guide has lurked in the past (she doesn't have time now), but according to her, DVC Guides are NOT allowed to post (it is in their contract - they wiil be fired). They can NOT even post to other (non-DVC) areas of the DIS. She said that Guides are the only CMs with that limitation. Sorry...

FYI - in DVC, 1-br. units are MUCH easier to reserve than 2-br. Good luck.
