Avios and Air Miles - please help!

I used them for car hire then found out that I did not have the required insurance, by the time I paid that it was hardly worth having used them.

    Golf in Orlando

Kissimme Oaks do a really good deal on club/buggy hire and green fees as does Remington. Both are nice courses. For a really good experience though try Orange County National, a bit more expensive but a cracking course.

Buying fresh milk at the airport for toddlers

You can buy it in WH Smiths at Manchester Airport once you are through security. We have travelled several times with babies/toddlers and know what it is like trying to get milk.

When does Disney become too expensive?

That is a great price for the Delta flights. Where did you get them so cheap?

When does Disney become too expensive?

I simply cannot find any flight prices under £600 for next summer. Going from Scotland seems to just ramp the price right up.

When does Disney become too expensive?

You have the right attitude Hollie. There is no doubt that as expensive as it is a trip to FLorida does give so many magical memories. Maybe as I am getting older I am starting to worry too much about savings etc

When does Disney become too expensive?

The flights do seem to be extremely expensive now and apparently there is some sort of airport tax increase next year as well(?). It used to be the case that Florida was a "once in a lifetime" holiday and maybe I have been spoiled going frequently over the last ten years, it now looks like it...

When does Disney become too expensive?

Is anybody else out there shocked at just how much it is costing to go to Florida/Disney these days (I am talking about during school holidays). Following a change in circumstances we no longer have quite as much money coming in as previously and next years trip may get delayed for at least...

    Avios - any good?

Thanks for all the help. Will look at car hire and try Virgin miles plus money and see if I have better luck

    Avios - any good?

Has anybody used Avios air miles to book flights to Florida. I am trying to book flights for next summer with Avios (Glasgow to Orlando) but even using the airmiles the price of the taxes and surchages you have to pay is still working out at around £510 per flight. Is this normal?

    Bewleys Hotel Manchester Airport

We normally stay at the Radisson as we have young children and the walk from Bewleys is just a bit too much - especially with luggage. Prior to having kids though we would walk from Bewleys to T2 no problem.

Just back - highs and lows

The care hire wait always amazes me as some people seem to spend ages getting their car sorted whereas I always find it is a case of sign here and here, can we interest you in an upgrade(no) and then I am away in minutes. Have to say one of my favourite times on holiday is walking over to the...

Just back - highs and lows

We will go back at summer. Haven't booked flights yet but in a quandry as to what is best when flying with young kids. Going direct is great as it is quicker but MCO is not the best to fly into. There are few options from Glasgow for going direct as well. Xmas is a fantastic time to go to...

Just back - highs and lows

Just back from a Xmas/New Year trip to Orlando - this time last week I was in Epcot, very depressing! Highs - Virgin Economy: good service, choice of movies, great with kids, good flights there and back - Rosen Inn Plaza i Drive: never stayed here before but would definitely go back...

    Annual Pass Question

Hi, I have always bought my AP at Disney, normally at Guest Relations at DTD. My last one has expired though - six months ago - and I want to purchase a new one. We are going over next month and plan on going to MK on the first day. Can I buy one at the ticket counters at MK or do I have to go...

    Miami to Naples

Alligator Alley is quicker than the Tamiami however....watch out for traffic cops (State Troopers?) as I have seen loads of cars getting pulled for speeding. It is also less scenic

    Best Golf Course in Orlando?

Go to Edwin watts on I drive or 535 as they have discount books. Orange county national is my fav but can b pricey if hiring clubs. Kissmmee oaks or highland reserve are normally good value and do free club rentals I think.

    August

August is hot, hot, hot. You can expect rain as well - but not the cold, miserable kind we get in Scotland. Never heard of flights having issues due to the weather but you can get some very impressive thunderstorms. We are also limited to school holidays and always go in July and August.

Going to WDW twice in 12 months, Annual Passes ??

I think AP are a great thing if you are going to WDW more than once. There are lots of discounts in the shops, dining, golf etc, the main thing for us though is the free parking. You can also pick up some good discounts in the hotels

    Accomodation at LBV

We stayed here in the summer, right behind the Nickelodeon hotel and literally five minutes from the apartment to Epcot. http://www.worldquestresort.co.uk/
