We are renting Disney vacation club points and plan on doing the dining plan. My 12 year old is so picky and won't like much on the adult menu. Do we have to get the dining plan for him or can we just pay OOP for him and the rest of the family do the dining plan?

Planning to spend Thanksgiving 2015 at Disney. Would you recommend Beach Club or Bay Lake? Family of 4, boys ages will be 12 & 7.

They always make my picky son a grilled cheese and he loves it!

My boys love Ohana and TRex. Did not enjoy San Angel, way too slow.

I agree Chef Mickey's is a one to try at least once. We always go to Crystal Palace for dinner, Ohana for dinner, Coral Reef and Teppan Edo for my boys (7 and 2). My 7 year old also loves 50s prime time because the server called me out on checking my blackberry during dinner.

Love love love the bread pudding at Ohana with the vanilla ice cream. :love:

Last Thanksgiving we spent it at Boma and had a wonderful meal. They did have the traditional items that were wonderful but the other buffet items are also wonderful, loved the soups!!!! We had a great Thanksgiving at Boma and then headed straight to Hollywood Studios to see the Osbourne...

I think they look good. Crystal Palace is a must for my fam. We tried 50s Prime last time and it was a lot of fun and the food was good and the shakes and dessert were awesome! I have boys so I don't get to try a lot of the princess restaurant but my friend always takes her girls to Akersus...

I called today and she said she could see the codes but didn't know what they were for and said they were outdated.

Thank you all for your input, very helpful. We are going August 2012, we have a 2 year old and a 7 year old both boys. They were so fascinated with AKL and the distance was fine for us because we had a car last time, we will probably not have a car next time unless airfare is too high.

If you could choose any DVC resort to stay in which one would it be? We are planning on going next August and I am leaning toward the Beach Club for the pool and location but we loved AKL last year. I have never seen the Wilderness Lodge or Bay Lake. Stayed at Saratoga and enjoyed that.

Our last several trips we have stayed at AKL and Saratoga Springs. We enjoyed both places but AKL was an amazing place and we would really like to stay there again but are considering trying a new resort. If you could pick which would it be? Beach Club, Boardwalk, Bay Lake Towers or AKL

Our favs are Ohana, Yak & Yeti, Crystal Palace, Boma and Wolfgang Puck Express.

TRex is great! Ohana but you would need ressies, may have a last minute cancellation while you are there. Definitely try Wolfgang Puck Express at DTD, family fav!

Absolutely Wolfgang Puck Express. A must for my fam! Also really enjoyed the Tangerine Cafe in Epcot and Columbia Harbour House in MK, Flame Tree BBQ, Mara's at the AKL.
