DH & DW Schedules for taking care of baby?

Done reading this thread since some of you decided to judge whether or not I required a schedule rather than just answer the question. For those of you who have chosen to use a schedule in your own life and shared your experiences, thank you so much for your helpful responses and for...

DH & DW Schedules for taking care of baby?

Congratulations to you & sorry to hear that you did not have help. However, that was not what I was asking in this thread..... I was asking for input from couples who have experience following a schedule. For those of you who did not read my post properly, we CURRENTLY follow a schedule for...

DH & DW Schedules for taking care of baby?

I hope so! Like I said, once she is asleep she is typically down for the entire night. It's just getting her to fall asleep that can take anywhere between midnight and 2am.

DH & DW Schedules for taking care of baby?

Actually, no because he tends to get up more quickly with our current schedule when its his turn. I think when we have a schedule, it tends to be on his mind when it's his turn, allowing him to awaken easier with just a few nudges from me.

DH & DW Schedules for taking care of baby?

Wow, that was a pointless response. Thank you-that was really helpful. I am definitely open to trying new things :) I tried again tonight and so far she has been asleep since 11:45pm.....I'm expecting her to wake up once more though-we shall see! I'm going to keep at it though! & you are...

DH & DW Schedules for taking care of baby?

:worship: Thank you for answering my question and sharing your experience rather than just telling me to suck it up and be sleep deprived! My DH lifts heavy equipment all day and if too tired, he can get clumsy & hurt himself. As for me, I oversee a 70 student program for children with severe...

DH & DW Schedules for taking care of baby?

While I understand what you guys are saying & I totally get it that it's very normal to have some sleep deprivation with a new baby, I guess it just baffles me a bit that a few posters are basically just saying suck it up. Sure, suck it up if you have to, but if you have a partner who is willing...

When did you start your baby on rice cereal?

DH & DW Schedules for taking care of baby?

Thank you all for your advice and replies. :) For anyone wondering, by the way, we are bottle feeding and not breastfeeding. I did try last night to start her bedtime routine at 8:30. It made no difference in what time she went to bed completely-aside from a few naps, she finally went down for...

    Why do we send money?

I agree....the other thing that really annoys me about that statement is NOT ALL OF THE VICTIMS WERE CHRISTIAN. At least one of the children was Jewish & I'm guessing there were others from some non-Christian religious backgrounds.

One ride you wish you couldve experienced???

I've been going to WDW since 1979, so there is not much I haven't experienced in WDW. I do have one wish though-I wish I had done the full experience of the Adventurer's Club. I did a quick walk through when I was in college on Spring Break, but I didn't appreciate it at the time-I was more...

DH & DW Schedules for taking care of baby?

I think we will try for 9pm again tonight. Last time we tried that early, she still ended up down for the final count around 12:30-she is very active and alert around 9. Last time I tried was over a week ago though, so maybe she is different now!!

When did you start your baby on rice cereal?

Well, I called my pediatrician this morning. :) She said what some of you mentioned-that my DD is likely going through a growth spurt and it is likely throwing off her eating schedule. She said to continue feeding her when she is hungry and to revisit the solid food conversation at my DD's 4...

DH & DW Schedules for taking care of baby?

You think so? I thought about this, but I wasn't sure.... It's a home day care & my daughter will be the only little baby. 6 kids in total (less on certain days of the week) & the rest are around 1.5-2 yrs of age. She does a circle time & themed activities with them in the morning that my little...

DH & DW Schedules for taking care of baby?

Thank you so much for everyone's input and advice-I do appreciate it!! :) I actually have been starting prep for bedtime around 10:30pm. Bring her up to her room, change diaper, clean her face & hands, sometimes read a story, have a bottle. Then I will try to put her in her crib with the...

DH & DW Schedules for taking care of baby?

Hmm, I'm thinking switching every other night might be best for us.... My DH also sleeps like the dead & I would also need to wake him up. I tend to stay awake better than him at night, but I cannot be the only one staying awake late all the time because it haunts me in the morning when...

DH & DW Schedules for taking care of baby?

Would love to hire help, but if we could afford that, I would just opt to stay home with my little darling full time instead of work!!:thumbsup2

DH & DW Schedules for taking care of baby?

Thank you for your advice :) Unfortunately, both DH & I both have very stressful and exhausting jobs, so between work and staying up at night, we definitely need a schedule of certain nights of the week that DH gets to sleep at a decent hour & certain nights that I do. It must be common to...
