I do not know what to do

If you don't mind sharing your table and ADR's, then you might also try posting them and see if there are people out there that would want to join you. Just specificy any restrictions (no kids, with kids, etc...).

MNSSHP-Tips, Tricks, Secrets newbies should know (from the 2009 party!)

A few things I learned last year: 1. As an adult if you want to dress up then go for it. I would say about 30-50% of adults dress up. HOwever, you will get a lot of attention if you dress up. 2. You will get a lot more attention (as will your kids) if you dress them up in recognizable...

MNSSHP-Tips, Tricks, Secrets newbies should know (from the 2009 party!)

We are going to the party on the 22nd as well. We're also staying at the Pop during our trip.

    Drinks for kids under 3

When we went last year (DS was 2) and we never had a problem with him stealing anything of ours. Like a PP said, most of the time the servers will bring your little one a drink free of charge (we never had a problem with him getting his own drink).

    Jiko- The cooking Place

We ate at Jiko last September and loved it (even our 2 year old loved it). The food was terrific and the service was outstanding. It would be a great choice--IMO--for a nice dinner out for a celebration. Enjoy!

Coral Reef for 2 year olds?

We took my 2 year old last year and he didn't care for it. We were too far away for him to really get into the aquarium (we may have been able to walk down there but he didn't seem interested enough for us to do that). And, he didn't eat the food. I think we got him the mac-and-cheese and he...

    Parks for toddlers

My son (who was 2 when we took him) enjoyed AK and MK over the other 2. HOwever, your child is older and will probably be able to ride more rides and enjoy things that a 2 year old can't. What we did last time (and are doing this time) is: 1 day at Epcot; 1 day (split into 2 half days) at...

Are Coral Reef and Liberty tree tavern worth the money? $$$$$$$

We didn't care for Coral Reef when we went last year. I loved the aquarium, but the food wasn't great at all. You'll probably get mixed reviews for both (so I would just go by how the menu looks to you all).

    Disney Character Meals

I can't help you with princesses as I have a son. I would recommend Crystal Palace (with Pooh) for breakfast (they also do lunch and dinner). I would also recommend Chef Mickey's (B) and/or Donald's breakfast at Tusker House in Animal Kingdom (this one is breakfast only).

How far in advance do you book your Disney vacation?

Both times we've went, I booked about 5 months out (so I put 6 on the poll). I usually book April for a trip in September. That way I get enough time to pay it off and plan everything (especially dining ADR's).

Animal Kingdom - morning or afternoon?

I you are only going to do a half a day I would do the morning (as it will be cooler). I really enjoy AK and we ended up spending a 1 1/2 days there when we went in Sept (we are spending 1 day and EMH hours there this time). It is very HOT....in Sept, we about died by midday.

    Dining Suggestions w/3 y/o

Your 3 year old might like: Coral Reef (the aquarium is cool) or the Sci-Fi (Cars, etc...). We do a lot of character meals as that is what DS loves (ok, the food may not be great, but he has a blast---so it is worth it).

Rain Forest Cafe DTD vs AK

I would make a reservation just to be on the safe side. You could make more than one reservation (like I have) if you aren't sure which day you will eat there. I liked the one at DTD but we are trying the one at AK this year (as we wanted a set-down eatery without going to the others at AK).

    Rides and 2 year olds

I would agree with this. My son loved all those rides (except Spaceship Earth--we didn't ride it) when he was 2. However, since then he has developed some fears (dark, shadows, etc..) that I think might hinder them this year (he'll be 3). For the teacups, just hold your child if you are...

    September 2009 ADR Wanted/Trade/Exchange/Canceled

I am actually looking to change times for 2 of my reservations (if possible). 1. Sept. 23 (wednesday) Garden Grill--I have a 4:30 but would like around a 5:30 or 6:00. 2. Sept. 24th (Thursday) Sci-Fi: I have a 5:00 (or 5:05) but would like a 6:00-6:30pm. Thanks!

    Your favoritte character dining?

We love Chef Mickey's for Breakfast. Also, Tusker House breakfast was good. BTW, LTT does not have characters anymore).
  18. Connerzmom

    Any other suggestions?

Chef Mickey's and Garden Grill would be great for dinner. Tusker house does not do a character dinner (they do have a character breakfast). If you want non-character dinner, then Boma might be a good choice (as it is at animal kingdom lodge which is a short bus ride from AK).

Online ADRs Thread (Updated FAQ 9/9/9)

It didn't work when I booked my ADR's on 6/21. But, like a PP said, they might have fixed the glitch by now. When I booked, you could only book 90 days in advance (online) and then the additional days when you called.

    Sci-fi car booths

Thanks for the replies. We aren't big people and our 2 year old will be eating off our plates (so hopefully it will be ok). Thanks for the picture (I was wondering what the cars looked like).
