    At A Loss with MDE

DM and I had paid for our AP's (first time we're going to have them - been with Seasonal for a long time) and the former bought 6 one-day tix from our local AAA for relatives visiting from the Philippines. We're going to the MK this Mon. with them and I just linked my and DM's AP's for MDE a few...

    Best Broadway-Style Show on DCL

My top 3 would be Disney Dreams, Golden Mickeys, and Hercules the Muse-ical! I watched the latter when I sailed on the Magic a few weeks after her maiden voyage, in mid-August 1998.

How many more days until your Disney cruise - Part 2

Ditto! Shuffling off tomorrow to Charleston, SC, for 3 nights to pass away the time! Oh anticipation...

Shorts to be allowed in MDR?

Amen to that! I'm pretty nonchalant about the revision of dress codes. I still dress up for dinner (my 3rd DCL vacay on the Dream will come in more than 2 weeks anyways) - slacks, dresses, and the like, but don't really care about others taking the new revisions in. The things I expect on a...

Palo for dinner on 3 day--opinions??

Great question - my latest DCL cruise to date was my second, a 3-nighter on the Wonder, in 2008. And yes, I did Palo at the time, on the last night. A great way to end a cruise indeed! I would recommend saving Palo for the 7-night one on the Fantasy. Let your DH get used to the MDR...

    Just finished FE and gifts!

I've completed my fish extender a few weeks ago! This cruise (on the Disney Dream this Sept.) is my first time doing the FE exchange. I decided to do a patriotic theme to show that I'm proud to be American. I used red, white, and blue rhinestones in various shapes, sizes and brands. I...

    September 8, 2013 Disney Dream

COUNT ME IN! DM surprised me with our booking on that date today! I'm so excited that I'm going to update my clothes with rhinestone motifs and iron-on graphics based on Disney Characters. Oh, and maybe I'll make BLING Mickey magnets and a fish extender as well. So yeah - and I'm out of my mind...

LOSE BEFORE YOU CRUISE - Support Thread for all Cruisers

I just got 4 lbs to lose (my goal weight is 136, the weight I was when I took my last DCL voyage nearly 5 years ago, on the Disney Wonder) and I'm going on the Disney Dream on September! I'm doing the Herbalife regimen. Wish me luck, y'all!

splash mountain: lap bars now installed

Rest assured that the new "refurbishment" would keep them in line. I respect and appreciate them going on a trip to bring the much needed tourist revenue in my state (same as WDW), but I feel for those who hate them and the measure would give them a bit of relief.

    Splash Mountain getting lap bars

I think it's not a half-bad idea! Before refurbishment, Splash stopped sporadically (more like often) because someone stood up on the ride. Usually, especially come summer, the culprit is one of the turismo (including those in the Brazilian tour group category) members. I sure respect those...

are you there now? Jersey Week

I'm heading to DHS today, including lunch at Epcot for IFWF. Will report when I return home.

Are crowds really THAT bad for Jersey week??

Because it (un)officially starts tomorrow, I can't say for sure. I'll go to DHS on Monday, and will report on that. Oh, and I'm a former New Jerseyan, thank you.

Mickeys Not So Scary Halloween Party COSTUME Pictures - post here!

Those costumes are swwwwwweeeeeetttt! There are pirates and princesses, witches and Peter Pans, and Disney and non-Disney. Well, here's one that is unique, and that was taken last Tuesday: That's right - this is the 1990's grunge look! It's nothing more than a pair of jeans (I should...

MNSSHP Photos and Tips..I'll Start!!! New Pictures SOON!!!!

Even better (for you FL residents like me who live at most from WDW) - hunker down at home before the night! This will give you ample time to rest and prepare your costume! Oh, and here's mine from last Tuesday's MNSSHP:

Costumes concerning MNSSHP - Will you or won't you?

I'm going to MNSSHP (bought tix for 10/12) as a grunge rocker - flannel plaid shirt, ripped jeans or jean shorts, sneaks, and a Lion King hat worn backwards. Pretty simple and quick! Oh, and Muetti will be wearing a Halloween shirt.

    ***Post Your MNSSHP Costume Ideas***

Muetti and I changed her minds - she'll be in her Halloween tee, while I dress like a grunge rockstar. To make my costume, all I have to do is to wear a flannel shirt, jeans (preferably ripped for a truer grunge look), my black Lion King (the Broadway show) hat worn backwards, and sneakers. I'm...

The Official 2010 MNSSHP- Tips,Tricks and a few Treats !

I'm going to my first MNSSHP in a few weeks! Muetti is going to dress as a guitar, while I'm going to be a rock star - no, make it a Radio Disney artist because I'm wearing a Pluto hat as part of my costume! Don't they just go together?

Here's a simple costume for those who have to go to the MK for MNSSHP but is going to hate it. Buy a solid-colored T-shirt and write "I Survived Walt Disney World!" (optional: cut out and paste or iron on the Walt Disney World logo underneath "I Survived") Another quick and easy costume is...

Mother dressed as Princess banned from Disneyland

Apologies for beating a dead horse (in costume) here, but I wrote an article on the policy, including the story. http://trifter.com/practical-travel/travel-with-kids/what-not-to-wear-no-adult-costumes-in-disney-parks/
