    The pop-ups look very unappealing

We started camping in a tent, then went to a conversion van, then to a 24' TT, then a 28' 5'er, and now we have a 39' triple slide toyhauler. There are pluses and minuses to all of them. We love the toyhauler, but it is too big sometimes. I honestly would like to have a small 16' or so TT...

    Giving Thanks at the Fort

It seems that all of the nice Thanksgiving TR's were too much for me to handle.:) I just booked 7 nights for Thanksgiving week. After checking my work schedule I was pleased to see that I only needed to use 2 days vacation to pull it off. My wife put in for her vacation too, and it was approved...

    TR-Home from camper shopping

Before we bought our first 5'er and also before we bought our toyhauler I did a ton of online research....and I mean a ton.;) My primary concern was/is quality of construction. I wanted to avoid certain things like a Lippert frame. Now I am super picky when it comes to large purchases, but a lot...

    Premium vs Preferred site

We prefer the premium sites too. Last two trips have been in the 400 loop. I like it.

did you name your RV ?

Since our new triple slide toyhauler is much larger than what we are used to, I dubbed it "The Taj Mahauler".:)

Proof The Rumors Are True!!! TCD Relocation Plans!

In regards to the different dock design overlay at the Fort marina, I seem to remember the dock being shorter and having "wings" on each side. I have a vague memory of the little rental boats being on the left side within the "u" shaped portion. Can any of our 30+ yr old members confirm? Of...

    Toyota ????

I recently bought a 99 Camry to use as a commuter. I paid 4k for it. It gets 32 mpg, drives nice and tight, and the AC is cold. I love that little car.

    Any F450 owners here?

I drove the 450 some today. The ride from the huge rear leaf spring pack is wagon-like. Other than that it is a nice ride. Decisions, decisions....

    Any F450 owners here?

I am thinking about selling my 05 F250 and buying an 08 F450 cab chassis 4x4 with a steel flatbed and 4.30 rear end. Our new toyhauler is right at the limit at what the F250 can handle and still be below GAWR's. Frankly, I don't like towing at the max, and I would feel a lot better with a drw...

Bus Driver/ Idiot fight at Studios

The wussification (really wanted to use a different word here) of people these days never ceases to amaze me. I don't see how an able bodied person could have just stood by and watched.

    Android phone apps

Bad battery life without task killers and forced reboots, huh? Sounds like you may need to do a hard reset and reload some apps. Those two problems are usually the result of some 3rd party apps not playing nice with the OS. Sometimes an OS update will break or cause apps to act up. I had a...

    Android phone apps

Those running android 2.2 (froyo) should avoid using task killers. They are not needed and can cause problems with memory management....that's Google's official stance. The google voice app is pretty cool to for those who use GV.

The Rumors Are True! Goodbye River Country and TCD Barn!

Here in the US there is a "no net loss" policy regarding wetlands. This means that you can destroy wetlands in one area if you preserve/create and maintain wetlands in another area. There are ratios involved regarding the quality of wetlands destroyed. For example, a developer may be required to...
