    not happy with standby rant

Something similar happened to us last May. Splash Mountain broke down and all of those in line for FP+ came over to Big Thunder Mountain RR. By the time we were able to use our FP for BTHRR the FP line was long, stretching way out into the park. (And SM was still not open so more SM FP holders...

Last minute trip...any tips on riding 7DMT without a FP?

We were there a little over a week ago, and at 10:30 at night the wait was still 80 minutes ! I think everyone else had the same idea...LOL! We were glad we had a FP to ride it :).

Mickey and Minnie at Adventures Outpost in AK?

We just got back from Disney. I took our youngest to see Minnie and Mickey while the rest of the family was riding Expedition Everset. We booked a 4th FP for this, but their was only one other family there. I think it was around 2:00. I do think they are there most of the day.

What if a ride is closed by rain during your fp time?

We were at Disney from 6/7/14 until 6/14/14. It rained a good deal and many of the rides were closed for a short period of time. If the ride is still closed when your FP begins, then you will get a FP good for ANY FP attraction within that park. You can choose to wait and use it when the ride...

Play n' Dine VS Prime Time Cafe

I would definately choose Play n' Dine. We have eaten at both, but we ate at Play 'dine with our children (youngest was 4) in May 2012, and our entire family agreed the food was good, and genaerally better than most buffets. Plus the characters have fun dance alongs/games that they play with...

    Best place for groceries? strollers?

We used Garden Grocer this past spring. If you have items that will spoil, you would need to be at the resort to meet the delivery person when he/she arrived. If you do not have any items that need to be refrigerated, they will drop the items off where they store luggage and you can pick it up...

Third Week in March...Am I Crazy?

We were there at about that time this past spring. Yes, it was crowded, but we got to do everything we wanted to do. DH got the Disney app that allowed us to see Fastpass return times and how long the wait was at each ride. My DH would go grab fastpasses while I went with the kids to a ride...

    special for Castaway Cay members?

We sailed in August 2009 on the Magic with a KSF pin code that was sent out by e-mail. We had never sailed with Disney before. It was discussed on this board at the time, as people were trying to figure out how to get a code. We were allowed to book up to two cabins using the pin code. I...

    OT-Need Homeschoolers Advice

I have always homeschooled ( I have three children, DS13, DD10, and DS2). My dd struggled to learn to read, and became easily frustrated. It ended up that she had vision problems (even though she checked out fine with screenings at the doctors office). I also know of several children who have...

Freaking out - will cruising make us sick???

I was very concerned about this as well because I tend to be the kind of person to get sick in cars and on rides. We sailed August '09 and we were all fine. There was one night you really could feel the ship moving (it is more noticable in the theater and the restaurants that are at the ends...

    Lanyard ? and pin trading

I see no one has posted yet about the exclusive pins being on the Wonder..I can't answer that since we were only on the Magic but hopefully you will get a chance to purchase them as well:) As for the exclusive CC pin, it is double sided...Chip on one side and Dale on the other (the middle...

    Lanyard ? and pin trading

We were on the Magic the end of August. They have lanyards that will hold the key to the world cards, but buying one at Wal Mart would be more economical. As far as pins, they had a set of THREE pins for two dollars each on the ship...so $8 for three pins!!! When put together the shape formed...

How long does this usually take?

You can go to the Disney Cruise Line web site and look up your CC number. You can then go to the members area and they have the newsletter online (we just sailed in September and I was able to get my CC number by doing this).

PC, kids and school - UPDATED 3/28/2011 post #53

I just wanted to put my two cents in. Obviously you must do what is legal and best for your kids. As a homeschooling mother of three, I think this would be awesome learning experience. The best learning IMO is hands on, seeing and doing. We were on the Disney Magic Eastern in...

checking in at port and rental car

I can understand if you have three or more little ones why you would want to stay together, but we used Avis in August and I had my husband drop me and the kids off (with the luggage...the porters are right there to get it all checked for you). We were then able to check in right away (I had...

    Air Tran or Southwest?

Hi fellow Buckeyes!! We just flew CMH to MCO with SW the end of August and September. Our flights were on time, and even arrived early into MCO and CMH. Remember, that even though Air Tran is cheaper, once you add the cost for luggage it will probably be about the same as SW (or even a little...

Should I bring our own snorkel gear and lifevests?

The snorkel equipment is $25.00 for the day at CC. I found it much more cost effective, and sanitary, to bring our own (only my daughter brought fins).
