You do realize that it's still doing better than it has in a long time, right? I remember booking DL trips between 2003-2005 when our dollar was in the 80's. Yeah, it would be great it the dollar was at parity, but if we're only losing a few dollars per hundred, it's not really that bad.

Every time I see how much some companies want for travel insurance, I just shake my head. I buy it from one of my local insurance companies, and it's only $1 a day(minimum $20), and it covers me up to 2 million.

I was there on Veteran's Day in 2007, and the attendance level was quite low. It almost felt like I had the park to myself like during a weekday. DL was open an extra 4 hours to accommodate the crowds, but they never showed up. I guess it's a toss-up each year to see what the crowds will be like.

I just read the latest In The Parks at MiceChat, and they said the old sleds were back on the track.

I always use travelers checks. I only bring a bit of cash for incidentals on the day I arrive. I'd rather have them, than having a bunch of cash on me, or having to find an atm(and pay the extra fees), or have to rely on a credit card.
