We did a split stay and were much happier staying at Cabana Bay. The bus system and the resort itself caused us to regret not staying there for the entire Universal leg of our trip. Our stay was in late May and we did not need the Express Passes as the parks were only moderated crowded.

The laundry facilities are small and crowded but they will get your clothes clean and dry. They were crowded every night that we were there but when we switched to earlier in the day we had them almost to ourselves.The supplies are expensive but no more than at any laundromat here locally.
