Don't fret the reports. This time of year, its normal that every day shows possible thunderstorms. The storms typically move in and move out quickly. We had similar reports two weeks ago and it only rained once for an hour. But, boy did it rain!

Agreed. We brought a bottle in luggage, but needed to buy extra mid-week...its vacation right? The cost isn't bad when you compare it to the mixed drink prices at the pool bar! We were able to make 4-6 drinks with one bottle.

The only request you can make during the online check-in process is to add a pack and play. It's just a check box and you can't add a comment. Best to add the request to the rez by phone then send a polite fax to the resort 2-3 days before your arrival. See my post above for more details.

I was hesitant to do online check-in as well, but ended up doing it. We arrived on a Thursday at 5PM. Before checking in online, I called a final time and asked the phone rep to add my requests to the reservation. About 3 days before our trip, I sent a fax to the resort with my...

Just Back - Fast Pass line longer than they used to be!!!

FWIW, I was also there last week and did not see larger fast pass lines. On most rides, we walked right to the FP collector, then joined the standby line. No issues on TSM, ToT, Star Tours, Soarin, Maelstrom, Safari, Splash, or Space. Our only issue was RnR @ 1PM. Standby was 100 minutes and...

Not trying to scare anyone, but here is a look at the POR pool during a Spring Break week (leading up to Easter)... The park crowd levels were a 9 or 10 most days we were there. So, if you are there at a peak time, this is what your pool will look like. It was a little tricky...

In a refurb room, you should be able to fit a twin mattress on the floor by the entrance door. The table and chairs might need to be moved around a bit, but I think it could be done. The non-refurb rooms have a pull out bed from under one double, so that space is probably not available. I'm...

The bed rests on the seat, but it is also uses some type of hydraulic hinge. When you first pull out the bed, it releases very slowly for safety. In fact you can pull on the tab, then walk away. It takes 10 seconds or so for it to get to the full open position. The bed seemed very...

Here is a closer look... We had the drawer too full and a shirt fell behind the drawer in the cabinet. It took me a few minutes to figure out that you must remove the drawer to get to the item. There are little latches on the side of the drawer that release the lock.

We returned from our trip last Thursday and had a great time. POR was beautiful and we would return in a heartbeat. The resort honored my room request (#38), so we stayed in a refurbished room. It was a nice room but a little tight for our family of 5 (kids 11,9,and 6). My wife thought I...

Yes, they sell Bacardi white rum (clear) in .375ml bottles for $13. They had a pretty good selection of liquor in the gift shop, but that was the only rum available.

    Freaking out over crowds!!!

OP, check Josh's newest update from the "Stitch Day". He arrived at the MK by 8AM and shows what the crowds are like early at the busiest rides. It's a very good argument for arriving at RD. Waking up early at WDW is not the same as waking up early for work. Once you get going and arrive at...

Advice for people going in the next week...

For those going, check today's EasyWDW update with pictures from Wednesday (Apr 4). It shows how a "10" crowd level is not so bad in the early AM. Then look at the picture Josh posted showing Tomorrowland at 12:30PM. The crowd level increases quickly around 11AM. Rope drop, eat meals at...

Advice for people going in the next week...

I just returned from WDW last night. You've heard this advice before, but have a plan, get there at rope drop or stay very late, and maximize the fastpass / child swap system. Extra walking is needed with the new fastpass rules, so have comfy sneakers. Over the past week, we went to the...

    Storybook circus at EMH??

We were there earlier this week and did an EMH morning at 7AM. Dumbo was open immediately after rope drop. There were CMs at Barnstormer but they said they were waiting for "the call" to open the ride. It seemed like it would be open, but there was an issue. We left and came back around 10AM...
