    Food poisoning while at Disney?

Wow!!! I can’t believe this thread is still going 🤣🤣 I feel like people are still misunderstanding. I was not looking for pixie dust. I went back to my original post and nowhere does it say that. Did I say pixie dust in a follow up comment? I’m too tired to go look. I don’t recall saying...

    Food poisoning while at Disney?

Final comment: That is quite literally what I asked in my initial post. “Has anyone had this happen and contacted Disney.?? That was my question. Period. Go back and look. Then people started making assumptions about things (why didn’t you contact emergency services, why didn’t you contact...

    Food poisoning while at Disney?

That’s fine. I get it. But seriously nitpicking and analyzing every single decision I made is ridiculous. Ultimately Disney is going to be the ones deciding what can be done so why go through great lengths to fo that. I honestly don’t get people.

    Food poisoning while at Disney?

I stopped by the front desk on our way out the next morning as we were getting picked up by Sunshine Flyers at 6:00 am. Didn’t have much time to go into detail other than alert them about the room. If you’ve never had to get a wheel chair and two teenagers down to the lobby— from a different...

    Food poisoning while at Disney?

Thank you for the thoughtful, non-judgmental responses. There are quite a few here and I don’t have time to quote them all but thank you. To clear some things up: My daughter was projectile vomiting in the middle of the night. I was focused on cleaning up the brand new carpet in the GF resort...

    Food poisoning while at Disney?

With all due respect, comments like “not sure what you want Disney to do”. “You should have told them sooner”. And “you can’t prove it” is not really super helpful either. That said, it is a message board and people are always going to assume a member is trying to get some advantage I guess...

    Food poisoning while at Disney?

Thanks to those of you offering sympathy for my daughter and us, and potential ideas for resolution. I contacted Disney and they gave me the guest services email.

    Food poisoning while at Disney?

I can’t express to you how sick my daughter was. I thought we might have to call emergency services. It was our first time staying at the new Grand Floridian resort studios and she vomited all over the carpet. She never got to experience Magic Kingdom with her grandmother who will likely no go...

    Food poisoning while at Disney?

I think I purposely said I wasn’t sure what I was looking for. I was curious if anyone else had something similar happen and if they contacted Disney. In any case buffets are ruined for us. Not worth the risk to get sick off a $50/pp meal. Uh no. And I it’s hardly the fault of the guest for...

    Food poisoning while at Disney?

We just came back Christmas Eve from a short 3 day/four night trip. On our third night, we at at Germany as part of the Candlelight processional package. At around midnight that night, my daughter woke up projectile vomiting. Not to be gross, but it was violent and sudden. She continued to be...

    Wheelchairs: Disney vs Third party

Thank you everyone! I ended up renting a wheelchair from Scooterbug. You can’t beat the convenience of bell services drop off and pick up. And peace of mind of getting to the park all set to go and not worrying about availability.

    Wheelchairs: Disney vs Third party

Thank you both. Has anyone used Buena Vista rentals? They say you have to be there for drop off as well as return which is concerning because we will be leave very early on departure day and their earliest pick up time is 8:15. Not very convenient.

    Wheelchairs: Disney vs Third party

I’ve been pretty set with our plan to rent a chair at the parks when we go with my 75 year old Mom. But then I started thinking about doing rope drop and having to stop and deal with grabbing the rental as we get in the park. On the other hand, not really loving having to load on boat/monorail...

Family who are local wanting to “pop in” and visit for one day at the last minute

Huh? What do you mean he was not welcomed and responded accordingly? You are welcome to share your thoughts of course. But there is no hidden backstory between my brother and I and frankly that seems like an odd thing to say. I care about him enough to not want him to drive two hours without...

Family who are local wanting to “pop in” and visit for one day at the last minute

It’s awful to say but I’m hoping he doesn’t. He did respond and say they may re-evaluate. I feel bad, but it is what it is.

Family who are local wanting to “pop in” and visit for one day at the last minute

Thanks everyone! Appreciate the input. I just texted him this today. I tried to be graceful in sharing my doubts. ******************************************************* So I was thinking more about what we were talking about in terms of you visiting us in Disney. I hope it can work out. That...

Family who are local wanting to “pop in” and visit for one day at the last minute

So my brother and his spouse live in GA but are going to be in Florida (not Orlando) during the time we are at Disney. We are there Dec 20-24. My brother says he wants to drive the two hours to see us in Orlando. The day he wants to do this we will be in Epcot. We have CP dining package at...
