We are flying out late in the evening on debarkation day. We would like to lounge on the beach for the day before leaving for MCO. Does anyone know if its available in Cocoa Beach?

You have to book it directly not through the excursion. The boat doesn't have the horrible music option either. We also were disappointed with the beach area. We were there in Dec. 01. We went to Atlantis in June this year and they couldn't pay us to go back to Blue Lagoon. IMHO, go...

GO BACK TO THE BOAT! YOU WILL GET BORED WAITING FOR ANOTHER TWO HOURS OR MORE. NOT TO MENTION THE ALMOST 1 HOUR FERRY RIDE BACK. TAKE THE HIGH SPEED BOAT OVER, DO THE SWIM AND GO BACK TO THE BOAT.

WE ARE FLYING IN THE DAY BEFORE AND WANTED TO STAY AT THE CAPE/COCOA BEACH AREA. IYHO, WHAT WOULD BE THE NICEST PLACE TO STAY? IS IT FAMILY ORIENTED AND ACCESSIBLE TO THE BEACH. WE HAVE FLOWN IN EARLY BEFORE, BUT ALWAYS STAYED IN WDW. DH DOESN'T WANT TO DO THAT THIS TIME. THANKS:cool:

We had to postpone our cruise, however, DH won an 8 day family trip to Hawaii. So hopefully we will see all of your in Dec 2003. :p

We had one room in the beach tower. We stayed in the pools until 5:30. Depending on what your planning to do there, ie. dolphin Encounter, Blue Lagoon is a small beach. The beach at Atlantis is cleaner,larger and you can rent jet skis to take to the Blue Lagoon(expensive). The dolphin...

We have done both. We stayed at Atlantis in June and did the Dolphin Swim in December. Personally, we loved Atlantis and were disappointed with Blue Lagoon. My kids were waiting for the ferry to leave the lagoon. Couldn't get them to leave Atlantis. If you do the lagoon, book it yourself...

Have not been there recently. We were there in February. It was not clean. The pool was very crowded and half of the kids water sprites and canons didn't work. If the search works this board. Check out what was written about it before. There are so many other nicer places I would avoid this...
