We're telling DD on her birthday, which is the day before we travel. She's got all the excitement of her birthday to look forward to, which is quite enough!! I may have told her about a week before, otherwise. She quite likes being able to count sleeps on her fingers so not more than 10 sleeps...

Thanks. I'm sure we'll be in and out for breakfast, SM, the Studios etc so will use a fresh ticket each time. Will be helpful for the crowds on the bank holiday weekend I think.

We've got three, yes three :rotfl2:, sets of tickets for DD1. She's got a free AP, on the hotel package as under 7 and the free birthday ticket too. I'm wondering if we can use the spare tickets to get extra fastpasses?? Presumably the tickets activated in some way at the gate? Anyone know?

The card from my original application came through very quickly. 2 or 3 weeks I think. It's been 5 weeks since renewing and still nothing yet. We've another 3 weeks before we travel so I'm hopeful it'll turn up before then. A printed email just isn't the same :rofl:

I did exactly this and all was fine. In my renewal in Feb I did the same thing again adding in a current statement to give proof that I still own the shares and I very quickly had email confirmation back that my membership has been renewed. Still waiting on my card proper though.

Actually Disney have a policy of no food to be taken into the parks iirc. Though there seems to be no problems taking some snacks and drink bottles in with you, I have read of people having full on picnics confiscated. There are lockers at the train station they could put their food into and eat...
