Is Ohana really that bad now?

We were there last Thursday and thought it was still a great experience. I can’t say we actively missed the meat coming around on skewers, but now that we’re talking about it I agree that was better than the food coming in big bowls. But we would still rank ‘Ohana among the top meals on property.

How do you know if a restaurant is "Disney owned"?

There’s no surefire way to know for sure without a little research, but here are a few ways to spot a restaurant not owned by Disney: It has its own website besides its page on Disney’s site. The online menu doesn’t include allergen information. Reservations are available on OpenTable. I’m...

TTC - are there resort buses

There are no Disney buses at the TTC. All of the buses go to the Magic Kingdom gate.

Is Gideon's Bakehouse REALLY Worth the Hype?

Exactly. It’s the wrong question. What does “worth it” even mean? Of course it’s not “worth it.” Or maybe it is, depending on your definition of those words. Objectively, it’s ridiculous to wait forever for a cookie. It’s an absurd thought. How good could it possibly be? But so is a lot of what...

    Best option for airport transportation

Hi! I once was a very active member of the Disney online community in the days before social media, but it has been a long time since I have closely followed this world. We're planning our first trip to the parks in five or six years next month. This time, we will have children for the first...

    KTN middle inital/ID full name

I’m wildly inconsistent about using my middle name. Some official documents have it, others don’t. When I book flights for personal travel, I don’t enter it. But when I book business travel through my company portal, it includes my middle name. Nonetheless, I’ve never had an issue with my...

Has anyone mentioned the ice cream cookie sandwich at the shop on Main Street? That’s a longtime favorite.

First Time at Disney in Over a Decade and Struggling with Dining Procedures

If you are flexible about where and when you eat, you shouldn’t have a problem finding reservations to use your credits. The most popular restaurants will likely be booked, but even those often have last-minute tables pop up. If you log onto the app while waiting on a ride line and check for...

    Best steak houses in disney.

The answer is Shula’s. There’s no better steakhouse on Disney property. It isn’t remotely close.

Transpo question from MCO to WDW

Just booked Mears Connect for my group of six for our trip in February. It’s our first time taking our kids. In the past we’d just use Uber, but since we don’t want to bring our car seats, a shared shuttle bus is the best option. If not for the car seat issue I’d be using Uber.

FEBRUARY 2024 CANCELLED ADR Thread - Guidelines in first post

I have a reservation at Chef Mickey’s at 5:30 on Feb. 21. No longer need it — taking my kids to lunch at Garden Grill that day instead. If anyone wants the table, DM me. Happy to coordinate.

Splash Mountain to become Princess and the Frog ride

"Song of the South" was released in 1946. It was accused of being racist almost immediately. The film has never been released on home video. So the Disney company has always known that this is a movie better relegated to the annals of history. And yet, Disney went ahead and decided to create an...

    Jet Blue Glitch?

I'd expect to keep seeing airfare decline. The travel market is already seeing an impact from the coronavirus crisis in the U.S., and it's likely to get much worse. Airlines are panicking.

Anyone from the NY area fly out of Westchester Airport?

The airport is wonderful because it's so small and easy. The parking is a pain and is expensive, but given the difference in airfare, it's probably worth it to you.

    Uber/Lyft from MCO?

Uber and Lyft are the only way I ever get to and from MCO. It's fast, cheap and easy. I couldn't ask for anything else.

    Hotel Advice MCO

The first thing you should do is check the rate at the Hyatt in the airport. If it's acceptable to you, don't even bother looking any further. That will absolutely be the simplest option for you. If it's not, there's no way to really make recommendations without knowing your dates. Just go...

Best place to watch NCAA tournament games

The new City Works at Disney Springs is probably your best option on property, followed by the ESPN Club at the BoardWalk. But honestly, given the crowds and the cost, you'd probably be better off staying off site and trying one of the 10 billion bars and restaurants in the area.
