But is it really free???? The DDP

I still believe, in most cases, that the DDE card is a better way to go. The DDE gives you the flexibility to eat how much you want at your own pace. The DDP makes you feel compelled to use your credits before the end of your trip. Plus alcohol and valet parking is included with the DDE.

Poly Experience . . . not so magical

Well, I don't blame all of you for complaining about your bad experiences at the Poly. Although, they are probably not as frequent as you may think. When you pay $300, $400, or $500 per night for a hotel stay you expect a certain level of service. If Disney is going to keep raising there...

Which would you chose, Cash, DDE or DDP?

This is an interesting topic and one I've done a lot of analysis on because I wasn't sure to buy the DDP or the DDE. I wouldn't pay cash if I were you; although I will say the DDP is a lot of food. Ok, you say you don't have an AP and I'm curious why not. With the DVC discount you can get...

Best Place to eat at Epcot???

Well, I'm not really sure what you mean by a lot of money and I'm not sure how old your kids are, but I would recommend Le Cellier for the steak. Really, all of the World Showcase restaurants are great in there own way.

    Contemporary rumor substantiated again....

The design on the architects website that Tink10 found about 4 weeks ago showed a tour 15 stories high. If it is truley 8 I would be happy with that. As for the HSM, all of the reports I've been seeing talk about the show starting in October at the Galaxy Palace Theatre. The show will be...

Anyone hear what kind of restaurant will replace Palio?

Yes, it is true. I heard the news on the wdwinfo podcast yesterday. They did mention it would be replaced with a wonderful restaurant; however, they weren't allowed to comment on what restaurant it would be.

Would any Disney Resort qualify as 5 Stars?

I believe the only 5 star experience you can have on Disney property is dinner at Victoria & Alberts. In fact, V&A is the only five star restaurant in Central Florida unless one has been added very recently.

    Swan or Dolphin

Although I'm not sure what your dates are have you checked to see if you can get an Entertainment Card rate, AAA, etc? Here is a link to the Swan and Dolphin reservation site where you can check for discounts. If you find a better rate than you were quoted before, just call the Swan and...

    Whispering Canyon - dinner 8/16

Great review. I assume the Banana thing you had for dessert used to be called the Dust Bowl at one time. I think they changed the name of it last year since "Dust Bowl" does not sound that appealing for dessert.

    Swan or Dolphin

I've stayed at the Dolphin and maybe staying at the Swan for our October trip. The Grotto pool (main themed pool) is right in the middle of the two resorts. You do have to walk about 50 yards to get to it (maybe a little further from the Swan). Both resorts have very nice quiet pools just...

    Poly or GF

We've stayed at both. Here is my assessment: Rooms - Both are equally nice. The Poly just recently had there rooms remodeled with flat panel TVs. Got to love that. Resort Amenities - The Grand Floridian definately has more choices for restaurants, a health (which can be shared by Poly...

Did the DDP save you money?

I've done the math for our upcoming October trip. We are actually going to save a bit more (not much at all) using the Disney Dining Experience vs. the Disney Dining Plan. What makes the DDE even more appealing is the fact that it is more flexible than the DDP. We don't have to eat all of...

Oh no! Plan to be at EPCOT day of Nemo Ride opening

I saw in the Fall Vacation Magic (quarterly DVC Publication) that in an article about the new Nemo ride to come and see it in October. That would lead me to believe that there will be DVC and Passholder previews in October with soft opening following right after in November. The official...
