The we loooooove Club Wyndham Bonnet Creek Part 4

Chekhovgirl - I was on a chat with a TripBound agent yesterday getting a quote on (2) 2BR units and I asked if they would be close by. She said they would make the request on our behalf several weeks ahead and WBC tries their best to keep families together. She said this is the only type of...

Melinda - I found a 2nd 2BR at a great price, have you tried to get 2 units close together in the past? I've read all the posts about slim chances of advance requests being granted, and you basically have to make special requests at check in. With 5 towers you would think we should be able to...

I'm totally with you, the mid-day breaks were exactly what we were looking for considering the July heat, and preventing our 11-13 yr olds from getting bored at a house with small pool... That is the conversation we're having now. Sister-in-law who is joining the trip doesn't have kids, and...

Any suggestions for the next best alternative to WBC when your group is too large? We were planning on a WBC 2BR or 3BR but now need a 4BR in July due to headcount increase and I think renting a house makes more sense. I'm asking for names of neighborhoods or areas to search. I generally use...

Cloudy - I would also suggest eBay if you are not already checking there. Searching on "Bonnet Creek" I currently see a couple posts for 5/10-5/15, 1BR for $350 and a 2BR for $450. The postings for WBC are pretty active and you can set up alerts for May.

Thanks - this is the kind of reply I was looking for. I don't mind being corrected, but at least also address the intent of the post, which CondescendingEd did not do. Reading your comments, and others has me re-thinking the splurge at Poly "Studios". It's also a good lesson for my kids to...

Uh, thanks Ed - I wish you were as focused on responding to my actual question as you are at correcting me. I tell my kids all the time, if all you do is correct people, no one will want to be around you.

Thank you for the reply. My choice is whether to take advantage of this attractive BC rate now and use the savings toward a deluxe resort for the remaining 2 nights, or wait for an attractive 7-day rate at BC for our mid-July stay. I wouldn't put my family through the pain of a mid-vacay...

The we loooooove Club Wyndham Bonnet Creek Part 4

Found a summer rate of $850 for 5 days at BC and I'm leaning towards booking it, then splurging for 2-3 days on property to fill out our week (unfortunately for FPs has to be after BC). The "Pros" I've identified are the attractive BC rate and getting 60-day FPs before the Disney resort date vs...

Anyone seeing good deals for summer months yet? I'm defining "good deals" as $1500-$2000 for 3 BR or $1000-$1500 for 2 BR (7 days). I'm looking for July right after the holiday, but also curious about the summer rates as a whole. Thanks

Wondering if folks are staring at their phone's clock at 6:59am and as soon as it shows 7:00am they quickly switch over to the Disney app and click "Find Out More"? Or, is there some other source for official time that syncs with Disney 7:00am?

    Eating at Liberty Tree Tavern

Agreed - that looks "real", much better than what I ate last time (6+ years ago), maybe they did change it... Thanks for posting, maybe we'll give it another try this summer (but I'm blaming you if it's "processed"!)

    Eating at Liberty Tree Tavern

Processed - means they take a bunch of pieces-parts and smash it into a loaf. Kind of like Arby's Roast Beef or Bonded Leather. There's no way that turkey comes directly from someone carving an actual turkey. I suspect there are additives and such, the texture is different than a real turkey.

    Eating at Liberty Tree Tavern

I recall the turkey being the "processed" variety, it didn't seem like a real, carved turkey, but it's been a few years and I'm prepared to try it again this summer if my family will oblige.

A number of folks in this thread have said they "close completely out" or something similar, to resolve an issue when they are unable to get a BG. I *think* they mean they are closing the MDE App and re-opening it - is that correct?

Beyond confused with the FP System

I'm putting this into a spreadsheet to see if I can even figure out what it means, and if I can figure it out I'm going to see if we can do it this summer... Props

Should I pay off my 401(k) loan early?

couple things - the interest rate for a 5% down mortgage will not be as good as 20%, so now you've introduced another negative. Second - you need to define how much $ is a "big deal", it may not be a big deal to you because you have other investments that overcome the PMI penalty. I'm...

Should I pay off my 401(k) loan early?

MantaRider - I hope you are still scanning the responses, even though you said you checked out of this thread a few days ago because people were not addressing your question... One thing no one has addressed are secondary negative impacts of the 3 choices you gave us for the $10K. I suspect...

    Garden Grill to Soarin

MyDisneyAnytime - I wanted to know what actually happened with your 9:10am reservation last month? Were you allowed to enter the park before rope drop? I'm in the same predicament this July with a 9:05am Res. Folks seem confident the Res has to be before 9am to get in early. I'll keep trying...

EPCOT Forever Dining Pkg (Rose & Crown)

Has anyone done this recently? I'm having a tough time justifying $89/person for a family of 4 with 11 and 12 year-olds that will likely order off the kid's menu due to limited options. Is there anything I'm missing that makes the $89 worth it? Thanks
