    Live(ish) Tokyo Disney Halloween TR

Seasonal Mickey waffle - caramel milk-ice (gelato pretty much) and apple, plus maple syrup, cream, custard and a mint leaf! We were also impressed with the standard of the parades and shows we have seen: Fantasmic was incredible at TDS - Reminded us of elements of World of Colour too. The...

    Live(ish) Tokyo Disney Halloween TR

Also, this Halloween special from New York Deli at Tokyo Disney Sea -it's a 'poison apple' sandwich: soft roll, pretzel stick stalk, filled with creamy apple and red cabbage coleslaw, prosciutto, lettuce and cheese. It was pretty good once you got past the colour of the bread!

    Live(ish) Tokyo Disney Halloween TR

We have been so impressed with the standard of food on offer at TDR - it has been amazing in most cases ( freshly made Mickey waffles from Great American Waffle shop at TDL- so good!) and the presentation is very thoughtful - Chandu Tail buns, waffle sandwiches from Camp Woodchuck, and these...

    Live(ish) Tokyo Disney Halloween TR

As far as rides, I will just comment on unique ones, or ones that are different to their US versions. Tokyo Disney Sea: so far we have been on Journey to the Centre of the Earth twice, which is very impressive-incredible detail inthe queue( which is good as you can spend some time there....) and...

    Live(ish) Tokyo Disney Halloween TR

Konnichiwa! We arrived at TDR 3 days ago - we have a 4 day pass (that's the longest they have) and added a one day pass for our first day, so will spend 5 days inthe parks in total. We are a Kiwi family of 4 with multiple trips to US parks under our belts, esp. DL, but this is our first time in...

Who's heading to the USA in Sep/Oct this year?

:cool1:We are! Disgeek parents and 2 teenage sons- their 4th time to DL. Last time was in 2013, so it's been a while! We are last minute travellers so nothing confirmed but hopefully: Sept 15 NZ to LAX - maybe via SYD or MEL ( we fly standby so it's always last minute) 15-19 Anaheim - no accom...

ladies - what souvenier do you dream of getting?

Some of the limited Enchanted Tiki Room souvenirs they brought out for the 50th in 2014 were super-cute, like the print handbag with faux bamboo handles...but I woulnt say no to those RayBans either...

Who was it who rented a condo near DL??

Thank you guys! That looks like the place- I'd forgotten how much I love the Disboards - planning trips on here is half the fun... Now who would like to bring me up to speed on what's new at WDW since May '13? I know the Seven Dwarves Mine ride, but is there any new Star Wars stuff planned for...

Who was it who rented a condo near DL??

Gidday cobbers! I'm back after a long time away from the boards, as we have had no Dis-holidays in the planning since our big two-coasts US trip in 2013. However, DH has casually mentioned that we could look at a trip next year:jumping1: So here I am....! We are thinking if we do DL we should...

We are in Chch too and my son is planning on applying for it in a couple of years- he is still at high school at present! We are keen on the family discounts CMs get! This is my first post in ages...

Your favorite thing at DL/DCA that most people don't know about?

Hearing Snow White singing by the wishing well next to the castle Animation Academy - the whole building is great but I love just 'taking 5' in the foyer watching all the old movies on the giant screens "Aladdin"! - hardly a secret but it seems some people don't know how great it is! I would...

DLR Wait Times Shorter Than WDW?

We find DL wait times much shorter overall, we have visited at spring break and Halloween. Huge waits for The Little Mermaid and other 'not-so-popular'rides were a shock to us when we went to WDW last May.

Planning our next Disney holiday...DL or WDW?

Hi-We had been to DL 3 times with the kids (several times more pre-kids!) and once to WDW pre-kids. Last May we took them all the way to Florida to experience WDW ....and TBH I wouldn't do it again. Sure we had fun, but to me it wasn't THAT much more fun than DL. It was a lot more hassle...

Disney First, Education Later - An Aussie TR

Yes the WDW one is quite different. it has a nice interactive queue with lots of cute games for kids and the whole thing is a lot less psychedelic!

Any one been to knotts berry farm in CA

How could I have forgotten Mrs Knotts??! We had a similar great fried chicken lunch- The atmosphere is a bit like lunch at Nan's - which I guess is the idea... Our boys were most impressed however, by the group of cops at the next table who were dining with holsters and guns on (don't see that...

Disney First, Education Later - An Aussie TR

Lol - I know EXACTLY what you mean! our family refer to that ride as "Pooh's Bad Acid Trip"- it is quite different to the WDW version. Liberal use of fluoro paint, swirly trippy shapes and Pooh does a lot of spinning around.... not to mention dreaming of Heffalumps and Woozles! we love turning...

Any one been to knotts berry farm in CA

...and don't forget Snoopy! they have Peanuts as their main "characters" at Knotts, so the kids can get to meet Snoopy and the gang, which our boys loved. But ditto everything other posters have said about more "big rides" - the log flume ride at Knotts is great and there is a huge old wooden...
