We ate there last week and went at 10:30 ish and did not wait more than 20-25 minutes. The line was quite long. We really enjoyed the lunch so was worth the wait.

I think choosing a resort might depend on what location you want to be near. If you want to be near the Magic Kingdom then Contemporary or Polynesian. The Epcot/Boardwalk area also has lot of perks. The swimming pool at the Beach Club is amazing and you can walk to Epcot within 5 minutes...
