    Family of 5 - 2 rooms??

You could all stay at POR Riverside in a Alligator Bayou room for less than the cost of 2 value rooms. Plus you get Queen size beds, a pull down bed for one, a great feature pool with waterside, etc. ETA: I suppose you could do what you are saying and hope that no one says anything. I don't...

Anyone have an Old Navy Coupon Code

I didn't realize the promotion I had expired yesterday. Ughh! I need to order some new shorts for our upcoming vacation. TIA.

Leaving for POR in 5 days-question

Can you not do online check in if you book through Orbtiz? You can with other travel agents. If you can, Disney now allows you to request buildings during the on-line check in process.

How long does it take from POR to Chef Mickey's?

If you catch that first bus, you will be fine. It's only a 10 minute or so ride to Magic Kingdom once you leave the property. Then from Magic Kingdom you can walk to the Contemporary in 10 minutes or less. Take the elevator to the 4th floor concourse and Chef Mickey's will be right there.

    deluxe vs moderates

We are Deluxe people generally (we've stayed at the GF, CR, WL, BC, YC, and Poly), but we tried a Royal Room last year for a couple of nights and really liked it. We didn't have any of the issues you had though. We are trying Coronado Springs later this month for a couple of nights before...

    Beach Club or Yacht Club?

I like both. It's hard to say which is better because they are really very similar, but I might give the edge to Yacht Club for having balconies on all rooms and it was a little less hectic there if you want a quiet place to come back to after a hectic day in the parks.

    Travel Agent vs. DIY

I've done both as well. I don't mind the research so I thought doing it myself was best. Then a friend of mine became a Disney authorized travel agent. She is on these boards, but TA's aren't allowed to say they are TA's on here. She works for a company that does get exclusive group rates...

    club level instead of ddp?

We are trying this for the first time at the end of April. I still booked a few dinners -- Narcooses, Be Our Guest, Ohana and a bfast at CRT. We are staying 9 nights - 2 at Coronado Springs in the new business class and 7 at Grand Floridian Club Level. We bought the Tables in Wonderland...

Can someone explain the advantage of booking disney through a travel agency?

My TA not only offers to help me plan our itinerary and make dining reservations, but she sends little fun facts emails every once in a while along with some of her tips (many of which you would find on the DIS or other sites, but you'd have to do the research) and she usually throws in a gift...

Question for AP holders regarding AP room discounts

I've always been able to get a discount. It might not be my 1st choice, but as AP holders we don't generally plan our trip that far in advance. E.g., I haven't been able to get CR Garden Wing rooms, but those are generally go first regardless of the type of discount, but I just booked an AP...

Can you arrange a special meet & greet?

Never knew you could arrange a special meet and greet. Of course, I don't think I could ever justify $3K for a private character meet anyway, but what a treat for a real character fan.

A Grand Vacation: The 2012 Grand Floridian FAQ!

Isn't the new pool supposed to be zero entry? I can't tell from the photos posted which side is zero entry now. Also, are the hot tubs still there?

    Is Ohana still good?

We've eaten there many times over the last few years. Often, more than once per trip. The only time I was disapointed was our last trip - Aug. 2012. Everything seemed extra greasy and the meat was tough. I hope it was just a bad night because we are planning to go back again in April.

is the weather better in late June or late August?

Hurricane season officially starts June 1st and goes through November, but generally the busier part of Hurricane Season is late Aug. -Sept. when the ocean water is at its peak. It will be hot in June and August. It will probably rain some in June and August. If I was going in August, I...

I want to like Animal Kingdom....

It's not my favorite park, but I still enjoy the park. I don't need a full day there, but we enjoy the Safari Ride, Everest, Kilmanjaro Safaris, The Lion King Show and Finding Nemo.

    Photopass+

DON'T THROW THAT CD AWAY!!!! When we did Photopass+ last year right after it first came out, we threw away the code. They gave us the CD when we upgraded at the park, and I am sure they said there was a code in there, but it didn't register in my brain. Since I wasn't concerned about having...

HELP! Where to buy a belt?? Here now

have never looked for a belt at Disney, but my best guess based on my recollection of inventory is the gift shop at the Yacht Club and possibly at the Grand Floridian. Or is there a way you could make a pin lanyard work as a belt? I thinks some of them could be manipulated to work as a belt...
