The link is about actually claiming back the cost of your travel insurance policy - we took out cover for the trip that Disney is now giving us a refund on. May be worth looking into, I have no idea if we’ll get the cover back but I’m going to try!
Got my email too.
Once I know the ball is rolling on that refund, I'm going to see what we can get back on the Travel insurance as we won't be using it.
I had an email on 29/5 saying that they would be in touch over how the announcements about reopening would affect our holiday. Heard nothing since but all of our ADRs have been removed from our plans on the app. We booked everything through Disney after Thomas Cook went bust.
I voted new rides (going to be spending a lot of time in Hollywood Studios!) and other - looking forward to trying new restaurants on the dining plan (Artists Point, Boma, 1900 Park Fair to name a few).
I teach Religious Studies in the UK so I brought back prayer flags from the Expedition Everest shop to decorate my classroom with and as part of a unit on prayer the pupils make their own.
I would hope common sense plays a part in this decision making process, rather than knee jerk reactions. As KBinCO says above sometimes accidents happen, it's very sad and we can only learn from the situation to make it even less likely that it will happen again in the next 40 years. We cannot...
And in all those years this is the first time that somebody has died on Disney property from an alligator attack. A complete and utter tragedy which has affected some people very badly (not least of all the family). Millions of people have walked on that beach, played on that beach, watched...
This just so eloquently expresses my thoughts on this matter. It was a tragedy. I cannot begin to comprehend the pain the family are going through, and all those who were involved in trying to find the child.
How many incidents of this nature have occurred on Disney property? How many have occurred over the last four decades in Florida? How many millions of people have sat in the spot that family were in? This type of event is a rarity, which is why the signage is not all over the place. Do we need...
And how many guests would read it when they check in and receive a leaflet of "dangers around the Disney property"? What has happened is a tragedy, but such a rare occurrence that it does not warrant a massive overhaul of signage etc. I must admit that going to Kennedy Space Centre when I was a...
I'd only take mine off on RnRC, just for peace of mind. Plus, I don't want to be blind for the rest of the holiday! However, I haven't had any issues on any other ride. :cool2:
What did we love? It's hard to narrow it down! The pool is great, and having the option of the quiet pool in each village is good too (when we wanted our DS2 to swim as opposed to splash we took him to the quiet pool). I loved the food court, lots of options and the staff were friendly. Camp...
Have only stayed at CBR, but we chose it for the food court (we had a toddler so had to eat there a lot and never felt bored of the selection - lots of options to choose from) and the rooms were lovely. Our DS loved the pirate themed pool for tots too! Gorgeous grounds, with the bonus of...
I highly recommend it too! It was one way of making sure there were pictures of us as a family, rather than just my DH & DS! Our DS was 2 at the time, and I did have to prompt the photographer to take pictures of him with Chip and Dale as the photographer was too busy cooing over the fact that...
